Just found this guy at the local thrift and picked it up. I don’t know anything electrical and even if the thing works. Can’t find anything online about it but maybe someone here knows? Thought it was worth the gamble to maybe get some extra football at the range or something!

Would be cool if you could hook up your phone and have your golf app display on that screen.
Probably a sponsored bag for a sim that held test clubs and used that screen connected to a launch monitor to display your data while testing/trying new clubs?

kinda looks like it has a mini PC with a VGA cable for the monitor. So that means you can probably replace or maybe even reprogram the PC portion and then have whatever you want on that screen.
Imagine playing a rom of Tiger Woods golf on your golf bag screen while you wait for the group in front of you.
Replace with a new monitor, attach a Chromecast. Done

There are definitely way better batteries available today. Make sure the replacement has the same specs, and save the old connector cable.
Looks like there’s a USB port on the hub. You should be able to connect a phone, or other device, and display it on that screen.
What are the connection ports on the screen itself? Is it just the serial?
Edit: the opening looks pretty square, but you might be able to save a lot of hassle, and weight, by swapping that screen for a modern tablet.
