World Golf Awards is part of the World Travel Awards program, supported by major media partners including Destination Golf, TV5Monde, Bloomberg, and CNBC. Votes are cast by golf industry professionals, media, and the public, recognising excellence across the global golf tourism sector.
The triple triumph highlights LIV Golf Adelaide’s growing global impact and further cements South Australia’s reputation as a leading destination for world-class sport and entertainment.
Since debuting in 2023, the event has redefined expectations of what a modern golf tournament can deliver, combining elite golf with live music, entertainment and sustainability initiatives to create a festival-style atmosphere which has captured fans around the world.
This year’s event, headlined by Joaquin Niemann’s individual victory and a commanding team performance from Fireballs GC, drew a record-breaking crowd of more than 102,000 fans to The Grange Golf Club. That trademark energy has become the hallmark of LIV Golf’s success globally.
“LIV Golf Adelaide continues to set a new benchmark for what fans can expect from a major golf event,” LIV Golf Adelaide said.
“We are proud to see our unique combination of world-class competition, sustainability and entertainment recognised on the global stage.”
In addition to its latest accolade, LIV Golf Adelaide has also been re-certified to the GEO Tournament Standard, the internationally recognised benchmark for sustainability and environmental leadership in golf. This follows LIV Golf’s achievement of ISO 20121 certification earlier in 2025, making it the first professional golf league or tour to achieve this global standard for sustainable event management.
LIV Golf now joins organisations such as Formula 1, the Olympic Games, Liverpool FC and the Philadelphia Eagles as leaders in sustainable event delivery.
Several LIV Golf tournaments, including Adelaide, have earned independent GEO Certification, with initiatives such as biodegradable signage, solar-powered light towers, and 100-per-cent battery-powered staff buggies. At this year’s Adelaide event, 19.15 per cent of electricity was sourced from renewable energy, up from 15 per cent in 2024, while 89 per cent of event vehicles were hybrid models. The introduction of Draught Toppers also allowed cans to be converted into reusable aluminium cups, reducing waste across the tournament site.
“These achievements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impact, while continuing to deliver an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike,” the LIV Golf Adelaide added.
The dual recognition, for both event excellence and sustainability, underscores LIV Golf Adelaide’s position as one of the sport’s standout global events.
Anticipation is already building for LIV Golf Adelaide 2026, which will return to The Grange Golf Club from 12-15 February. Organisers have promised fresh innovations, expanded sustainability programs, and new fan experiences as the tournament continues to evolve as a benchmark for modern golf.
