One Swing That Made History – Harrington’s 5-Wood #shorts

Just two games left out on the course. Simon Waitfield, KJ Choy, Harrington, and Norman. Last pair on the 17th looking over their second shots. There’s the target. 272 yds remaining for Podrick Harrington. And he’s being very aggressive again. He’ll have to start this one almost over the crowd on the left hand side. He’s going with the fairway wood and that’s probably trying to take out certainly that trap that’s 20 yards short of the green. Take that out of play. That’s about the only place you don’t want to be. There’s some danger up there on the right, Pete. If Yeah, there’s also danger on the left if you go far enough. Left up on that bank. What a win though. Now there’s no danger at all. That’s a river. But what do we know? He caught the side of the banker. He said the bit of luck of the Irish today. He was offline a few times early on and found cars and tracks and walkways and all sorts of things. But he’s deserved it because he’s he played with a a freedom of spirit and a freshness and an honesty. The others just couldn’t compete.

  1. I was in the stand behind the green for that shot. Probably the best shot ive seen live. Knew he'd won it there and then. Nobody was beating him playing shots like that.
