ABOUT SGGT
SGGT is known for its unique, detailed 4, 6, 8, PW iron fittings at our flagship Edinburgh and Chesterfield studios. Where as many fitters use only 7 iron to fit an iron set, SGGT goes through the bag to find you the best fit for your game.
Recently, a customer said he thought SGGT offered the “World’s Best Iron Fitting” at our flagship Edinburgh and Chesterfield studios. He challenged us to find anywhere else in the world that offered all this in iron fittings:
• Fitting across set 4, 6, 8 irons & PW. Not just a 7 iron.
• Completely brand independent so you’re guaranteed unbiased advice
• Largest heads/shaft selection in Europe. We have the biggest matrix.
• Premium balls – ProV1s etc instead of range balls.
• Your choice of grip – We’ll put your preferred grip on the clubs you’re testing.
• An opportunity to test off mats & grass, indoor & outdoor during the fitting. It’s the only way to see the true ball flight and test turf interaction. Plus you still get the benefits of our Trackman launch monitors.
We haven’t found anywhere else yet. So, is SGGT the “World’s Best Iron Fitting?”. We’d be genuinely curious to know so please do get in touch.
Please Note: There are regional service variations offered at our Netherlands studios. Please contact them for details.

Tailor Made QI35 fairway woods. There’s a reason that Scotty Sheffller, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Adam Scott are all using this. And they’re not just using three-woods. They’ve got five, sevens, and nine in the bag. Let’s get into it. Tailor-Made Qi35. You have four models across this range. This has been one of our best sellers across all four models. Um, start with the core model. You’ve got Qi35. Now, this comes in uh a three, a 3 HL, a five, and a seven. So, this goes from 15 to 21°, but the stronger lofted ones within that have have brought back that added adjustability. You’ve got a 4° shot sleeve in there, and the core model is it’s kind of covers all bases. Um, nice shallow face, and it’s it’s going to be the one we sell the most of. Um, it’s one of the fastest fairways we’ve ever had in our fitting bays here at SGT. So, you’ve got a three, a three HL, a five, and a seven in this. And this is getting a lot of tour usage. Guys like Adam Scott, Shane Lowry, Jason Day, um Tommy Fleetwood noticeably in this, Chris Garup, uh, 7wood, you had Scotty Sheffler in one, Jason Day in one, Keegan Bradley in one. Qi35 Max is is a little bit more upright. Um, you’ve got four lofts of that as well, but it’s the largest head. It’s the most forgiving. You’ve also got Max Light, which is a lighter version of it. H a little bit more to try and get the ball in the air, but the Max is the the most stable one. Um, you’ve got a three, which is adjustable, a five, which is adjustable, a seven, and a nine. Now, Tommy Fleetwood has had one in the bag. Adam Scott has had a ninewood in and out of the bag, amongst a lot of other stuff. But um the three and the five have still got that four degree shot sleeve on there much like the three, four, and five in the core. You’ve also got a Qi35 tour. Um this is the lowest spinning of the bunch. Uh a little bit of a smaller profile, but all three are adjustable. Uh and the reason they’ve brought that adjustability back cuz Qi 10 never had this adjustable sleeve. Qi35 does. Uh, and it’s a little bit for for fitting. Um, we can adjust loft, lie, and really dial in ball flight when we’re here hitting hitting balls outside. We can see exactly how far it’s going. And if we need to change it by a couple of yards either way, we’ve got that kind of power to do so. Um, you’re seeing a lot less threes go into bags across all four models in the Qi35 range. Golf clubs are getting more and more difficult to spin. So you’re seeing high lofted threes go in, fivewoods go in. On a driving range, you’ll hit a three miles. On a golf course, a lot of golfers are hitting fives further. The flight’s better. The landing angle’s better. So for hitting into greens, it’s just a stronger option. So if you as a golfer struggling a little bit more with the 3-wood, you see what’s in the pros bags. They’ve made it okay to test five, seven, and ninewood. They’ve validated it. They’re using it. Why are we making it more difficult for ourselves? So let’s talk a little bit more about technology. The tour model has a a sliding weight so you can get that really low spinning. Um you can design that kind of rocket fairway wood. You can drag it right to the back which will make it a little bit higher launching. All of them have Tailormaid’s twist face in there. So you’ve got a little bit more loft in the toe, a little bit less in the heel. Um just to try and make it that little bit more forgiving. Chromium carbon in there on all of them. Uh, and they’ve brought back their adjustable huzzle for fitting, for forgiveness, so we can really dial in that ball flight plate for you. But the key thing about Tailor Made with their Qi35, the key thing this year is it is fast. If you want a bit more speed out of a fairway wood, um, regardless of level of golf, if you need a little bit more speed out of fairway wood, Qi35 has to be in your fitting. H, that’s why it’s so popular with us. That’s why it’s one of our biggest sellers in Fairywood this year is the speed that comes off the face. So, when all said and done with Qi35, they are just fun to hit. They’re fun to hit because they’re fast. And in your fitting, what would be interesting is to see which one you hit the furthest, whether it be three, five, seven. And it’s all going to depend on you as a golfer. Come and get fitted. We look forward to having you at the studios. [Music]
