Annika Sorenstam shares her first impression of Kai Trump’s game
Speaking at the Pelican Golf Club on Tuesday, Annika Sorenstam said she was impressed with Kai Trump’s skills. “This is the second time I’ve met her but the first time I’ve played with her,” Sorenstam told reporters. “She hits the ball really high and drives it well. She knows she has to work on her putting and short game, especially around these greens, which can be tough. But as far as distance, that’s not going to be an issue for her.”Sorenstam added that Kai’s confidence and maturity stood out. “Obviously, this is a big scene for her. It’s a huge stage, but she’s handling it well. She has a real passion for the sport,” she said. Sorenstam, who has seen many young players rise through the ranks, said she admired Kai’s strength and focus despite the attention around her family name.“She must be super tough on the inside,” Sorenstam said. “I mean, at 18 years old, to hear all the comments and criticism, she still shows up, works hard, and stays positive. That takes a lot of heart.”Also Read: Dave Portnoy Breaks Silence After Viral Antisemitic Attack In Mississippi, Suspect Arrested For Targeting Barstool FounderThe LPGA Hall of Famer ended by encouraging fans and players to support Kai through her debut week. “We just want her to come out here, have fun, and feel welcome.
