How achievable is the hammer finish above from a DIY perspective? Anyone attempted it or anything similar? Would there be any specific technique/equipment other than a ballpeen hammer? Would like to try it on my set of SM10’s.

I’d go to a goodwill and buy some really cheap wedges to test on first.
You want a chasing hammer and a bench block or anvil. A “bench block” can be something as simple as a 4×4 piece of wood, but you will get better results with a harder surface like an anvil or steel block.
Used double sided tape to secure the wedge face to the bench block so it doesn’t move around. Practicing on a junk wedge would also be a good idea before you attempt it on your gamers. You can also cut out carboard or leather to help protect the surfaces you don’t intend to dimple in the event of mishits.
Finish it up with some fresh paint fill or stamping letters if you wish and you got yourself a set of custom wedges.
That’s sick.
That is really cool. But does that say RCH???? 🤔😂
Go to your local course, see if they have any clubs from the lost and found that have been there awhile. It’s going to be some trial and error before you feel comfortable doing your wedge. Not tough, but just a learning curve
Really nice.
It looks gorgeous
Im thinking the original is forged that way – Im curious if hammering will give the desired effect… please show before and after pics if you attempt this.
