Andrew Johnston returns to action after long injury layoff. Andrew Beef Johnston is set to make his first competitive appearance in over a year at the DP World Tours Genesis Championship in South Korea. Johnston, a fan favorite since his standout performance at the 2016 Open Championship, missed the entire 2025 season due to a thumb injury. The injury was initially misdiagnosed, delaying proper treatment. In March, Johnston was correctly diagnosed with a complete ligament tear and partial tears in two tendons requiring surgery. I wasted three months being misdiagnosed. If I’d known earlier, I could have been back playing by now, he said. Johnston has been regaining form with practice rounds and posted progress updates on social media. He will join Hideki Matsyama and Adam Scott in the final event before the DP World Tour playoffs, looking to regain his competitive rhythm ahead of the upcoming season. Friends, what is your opinion about this?
