Anthony Kim has revealed he has absolutely no plans to retire just yet despite getting his “teeth kicked in every week” in the LIV Golf League for two years.
Kim sent a ripple through the world of men’s professional golf in December 2024 when he joined LIV as a wildcard following a 12-year absence from the sport.
More than anything, golf fans simply wanted to know what he had been up to since he disappeared from the PGA Tour in 2012.

He had turned into golf’s very own Yeti, with social media erupting whenever whispers of his appearance floated around.

A nearly unrecognisable Kim revealed upon his return that after several surgeries on his “broken body” his life spiralled into addiction and depression.
It was speculated that Kim would walk away from the sport after he was relegated with LIV Golf this season, but he is continuing to rebuild his career on the Asian Tour.
Kim told reporters during the Moutai Singapore Open that he’ll play quite a few events on the International Series in 2026, although he is unlikely to play all 10.

And he will also be in the field for LIV Golf’s Promotions event next January which will award two players exemptions on the rival league next season.
“I am going to play a few more years,” Kim said. “I do not know how long I want to play golf for, but this is something I am committed to.
“I am motivated to play as good as I can, work as hard as I can, and the results will speak for themselves.
“I am going to play some events (on the International Series and Asian Tour), but it is a long way over here.
“So, as much as I want to compete, you know, part of my comeback to golf is being with my family. And it is a lot of trouble for the family, so we will pick some events to play.”

Kim has made three cuts in his last four starts on the International Series.

His continued effort has drawn admiration from the likes of Phil Mickelson, with Lefty recently chiming in on X: “He’s worked hard and gotten better every day. I’m rooting hard for his success.”
Kim also believes that his results will soon change. “Overall, my ball striking has gotten a lot better,” he said.
“I finally am doing the stuff I practice at home out here on the golf course. I’ve just got to get a few more putts to fall, and things will change pretty quickly.”

He added: “You know, this has been a long journey. The last two years have been pretty tough. I was getting my teeth kicked in every week, coming to LIV Golf and playing without having much practice.
“But I have been working hard. Obviously, it is a disappointment (to be relegated) but I am more motivated than ever to keep doing well.”
LIV Golf will begin their fourth full season next February.
At the time of publication, no new signings have been made.
Five teams need replacements after Kim, Henrik Stenson, Andy Ogletree, Mito Pereira, Yubin Jang and Frederik Kjettrup were relegated.
