Today’s contestant has all the answers to fix your golf swing. That’s a golf shot. If that just falls now, that could go in the hole. But does he have the answers for YouTube Golf’s hardest test? Oh, be a better shot. That is unreal. We’re heading out on the front nine of King Robert the Bruce Golf Course at Turnbury to see if the 30 shot challenge can finally be completed. It’s still on. I can do it. I’m back. The challenge is simple. You get 30 shots to get around nine holes of a golf course. And today, Mr. Alex Elliot is taking on the challenge. Welcome, sir. Thank you, sir. If you haven’t already, go and check Alex’s channel out. But we’re here at Trump Turbury Resort. We’re playing the King Robert the Bruce, the front nine, 3,100 yards, par 36. How far are you getting? Well, I feel like I’ve got one of the hardest goes at this challenge. Yeah, you’re you’re up there. I’m going to say I’d be over the moon with seven holes in. Seven holes. I watched Alex play yesterday. Incredible off the tea. I’m going to say that you What about the rest of it? You’re going to hit your second shot into eight. Okay. And I’m going to tee off on eight. What about you? I’m going to tee off on eight. I reckon you pit me by one. Okay. But you said you’ve won most of these. I have. Yeah. But you know, I’ve seen I’ve seen the game and I know what the course has ahead and driver ate my strong point. Right. T foot flip to go first, sir. It is me. You, sir. Yeah. Right. You can lead the way. I’ve never actually played here before, so I’m relying on Matt to give me a little bit of a heads up of where Yeah. It’s a par five to start. Is it? I don’t know. Off these yellow T’s. I’m going to go Yes, cuz it’s got the biggest face. Okay. 285 bunkers out there. To cover the runs on the right, it’s 240. I actually played a proam here once and uh took a 12 on the first hole. So, as long as we don’t do that today, we’ll still have some shots in the tank. Wind off the left. I’m just going to go straight to the flag. I’m happy with like a little bit of a right miss with all that course. This course, you’re right, Matt. It’s so much harder than you think off the off the tea. It’s I think it’s a lot more intimidating than the Elsa, but I think there’s a few more getable holes. Okay. Right. So, we should we should probably get to the 12th today, I reckon. Cut. If that kick’s right, that’ll be perfect. Sit, sit, sit, sit, sit, sit, sit. That’ll be all right. Should be okay. Nearly absolutely spot on. Just a little bit of a pull. I find that hard, right? You know, when you got wind off your left Yeah. It’s It’s the worst wind to play golf in. No, we had that yesterday for the first four holes off your left. Nice drive, Matt. Especially as a secret slicer. The uh the left to right wind is just I’m just a secret heel fader. That’s what I call it. Right. 200 200 yards. We are playing lift clean on here. I’m on closely moan. Probably should clean it if I am doing that instead of just picking it up and putting it back down. Uh 200 y. We’re down off the left a little bit. What we got to the front? 180. What you thinking? Six or five. Thinking I might go six just because I don’t want to go big. And if I get a little bit aggressive, it’ll maybe go a little bit longer. And if I hit it poo, I won’t get that bunker on the right. And if it great, it goes in. There’s a lot of eventualities there. But I like the positive self. Yeah. It literally just like was like cuddling the wind like this the whole way. Do you um do you play a certain shot shape? Um do you try and like hit one shot? I try and like play a fade. Yeah, same. I try and play a fade, but I’m I’m thinking I might try drawing it. It’s a bold statement in one of the hardest off the tea. I know, but like driver try and fade it. I’ve been losing it. Iron’s I think just these little holdy drawers. Well, when I used to when I I played with you once before when we were younger. Yeah. And I used to draw it then. Yeah. Yeah. Then a lot changed. bad hair, no children, and uh yeah, that turned me to the fade life. All went downhill. I heard there’s something in it. Get back to the draw. I think just a little hot. Do you know what I think probably the right thing is? I held it against the wind for the probably the last two years I’ve been using the wind too much. Like I would have tried hitting five iron over the gor with a fade then to be fair like and it would have been like uncontrollable. To answer that question, if I had a shorter iron, I would probably try and hold it. Yeah. A longer iron, I would try and use it. Like that one there, I tried to use it a little more. I just think like with a shorter iron, I feel more confident that I could create on that wind more draw spin. Yeah. And then on the wind that we’ve got, I feel like it’s always going to bleed a little bit this way. Right. That’s interesting. You caddied as well on tour, didn’t you? So good friend actually. Yeah. For Tom. Yeah, actually. Yeah. Would that have been the case as well? would tomb be more like and you found that with the pros they’d try and hold against the wind instead of use it as much. I think it depends on where the flag is, right? And depends on scenario and depends on like genuinely how they’re feeling on the day. If they’re feeling great, then everything just comes out pretty neutral. So yeah, I would say for Tom on a great day feeling good, you would pick on that wind a spot slightly left and if it just drifted, it just drifted. But it’d be quite a neutral flight. Yeah. Never really moving too much. But then you might have some days where you’re like, “Okay, well, I don’t feel great today. I’m going to use it a little more.” And that can change. I don’t think people realize that. People they flush it all the time. No. Yeah. They just they just work work it well. Nice shot, sir. By the way, thank you. Thank you. Right. We’re all right. The reality like the way the wind is like you can’t obviously see wind on the camera. It’s straight off the left. So any kind of cut spin on it, you would be just feeding the G, wouldn’t you? But luckily, this hole is uh just riddled with gor. I mean, you hit it 205 to be defensive and you got 185 left in. What does driver do? Driver gives you a flick. Let’s flick it. I I feel like you got to stand up and hit a good shot. Flickle the pickle is the play. Well, the fifth hole is 407, Alex. It’s I think the most intimidating T-shot on this one. It is big though when you look at it. You’ve probably got 50 from left to right. So, realistically, it’s blast a driver. Yeah. Make three. Carry on. I like the optimism. Go well. Playing it like down off your left. Yeah. It does open up there if it gets past. I think that’s okay. It cuts out quite a bit there. That moved so much more than I thought. Left or right? Matt, there’s no way it cuts back 30 yards. You’re You’re perfect. Right. 125 middle. We had a similar number before on the third hole and we hit wedge. We did pretty close. So, I feel same shot. Slightly different wind, but same shot. Turned over in the rough. jumped and turned over in the rough. Did the rough grab the club per chance then? It looked like it and it jumped just to add insult to injury. 102 yards for me. So 54 to the shoulder. Knock it stone dead if not in. Birdie, we’re completely back on track. It’s doable. It’s completable in fact. I’m getting very close to a shank. Say the fact they went online was quite impressive. Yeah, it’s getting scary close. The line was great and luckily it got a bit of spin. So roll that in. No one needs to know any different. Alex, this isn’t the place to miss it. Every time. Now, as a previous caddy, you should probably know better. Yeah. Laying up into a bunker. Yeah. Than missing shortsided every time. People thinking, “By the way, you’re not caddying now.” I think though you’ve got you got the skill. Are you Are you going all the way here?
