The 40-year-old English golfer thought he was playing his final tournament. Yet, he stunned everyone by winning the Hotel Planner Tours Rolex Grand Final in Mayorca. Morrison finished with a two underpar 70 in the final round, reaching 15 under overall and securing victory by three shots over Italian golfer Stephano Messolei. Victory meant Morrison climbed 30 places on the road to Mayorca rankings to end the season as number six and become one of 20 players to guarantee a place on the European tour. He returns a year after missing 14 cuts and losing his his full-time status for the first time in 15 years. For other British players qualified for the tour this weekend, fellow Englishman Joshua Barry and Scots David Law, Daniel Young, and Euan Walker.
