This match starting at the four cup in their history. Beautiful shot. Starting off on a monster par4 522 yds. Great mix here between some monster par fours and some driver during the regular season. John Ram who produced absolute heroics in Indianapolis to seal the individual crown last week after a final round of 60. He’s their captain. He’s off against Lee West with AT. [Music] On paper, this is a lopsided match, especially with a course that really in my opinion it’s a blind t-shirt. This is the McKibben Surat against Ketra Kima Forsome’s match. What a shot. Good looking swing there. Beautiful shot with the mid iron. All right, shot. We’ll be back. Just a little pit shot here. [Music] Little birdie at his opening hole. The fourth. [Music] the five balls against the high flyers and that’s a missed par by Abraham. He’s not conceded. Almost similar distance still remaining for down in the other singles match. This is Richard Bland for par. He faces Tierrell Hatton an all English. Rice has two pots to win the hole. [Music] Dean Burmeister victorious recently in Chicago. He is taking on Lucas Herbert in this South Africa versus Australia clash. And after that Dean Burmeister has gone [Music] a good swing. That one catches the fast half of the fairway. The fairways This is the 17th and it’s Cam Smith against Brandon Grace in the singles. Visibly upset leaving that green. He really had a good opportunity. He’s got an eight iron hit which is pretty good looking distancewise I think. Oh this round. Oh this is a very good line. Johnson of the 4 acres. They’re all square. Brooks drove it right up the middle here through the narrowest part of the fairway. And there’s a false front there, though. And the aprons are very fast. Look at this. Oh no. Bounce over somehow. gets it across the the water there taking on the Range Goats. Mito Pereira against Ben Campbell and Ben Campbell the New Zealander. Lee Westward’s second shot into the eighth. He trails Bryson Desambo who is one up. judges the spin superbly. Gave me a little smile there, Dave, knowing how lucky you got for that thing to bounce over that hazard. [Music] tore the cover off that that nine iron came back. This is the play though with putter, but he got somewhat of the line. It’s going to be about halfway though. And we know this guy can do it. So the fireballs against the highf flyers. Sergio’s fireballs the number three seed. So he made the selection. Westwood’s birdie pup at eight. This was to half the hole. [Music] Right. Only error here is that hazard down the right side. See DJ working off that hill back in the fairway. It’s kind of a boomerang type of fairway. Perfect. Can’t see it. They got right in the way. Here’s his second shot at four. with a seven iron from a lily. That’s not great. Some of the thickest rough I’ve seen all year here. Oh boy, he just bobbles. So far today, the crushers are one up on the Majestics in the Forson. Terri Stenson missed this willingly in Indianapolis last week, beating John Ramen at playoff and Uline. And Dean Burmeister has had an excellent start for Stinger in this South Africa versus Australia match. And DJ the little nine iron hit him. Does have a little kind of a back stop behind it. At least 15 on. Missed that slope front. The range goats has won the 14th hole against Ortiz and Munoz are one up in the foroms. Beautiful shot from Brooks into the six. Bland for Cleats Golf Club facing his fellow English. These greens are magnificent. A lot of smart people calculating these things. You’re right. He did start it right. Hit it a little too firmly. has not put a wall this year. This has got to go in. It’s got to be boys. Up over Meito Pereira. [Music] A bouncer already two down through two holes. Okay. On Brooks Ker’s Smash GC in this quarterfinal and Patrick Reed against a former 48 victory. No advantage against the clicks. They were all square through the opening three holes. Hatton won the first which was the fourth hole. Glandy responded and Trell had on Brooks just over 100 yards to the seventh. Got the advantage here to hit in there tight with DJ left and didn’t really take well got a lucky break. I’m 80 yards from where he was. Got a hoist up in there. Oh wow. He must had a clean lie down there. Yeah, it wasn’t bad. Charles Schwarzel in the foroms playing with Louis Hazen against Matt Jones and Mark Leechman. This is at the third hole of the part three. This is the five balls. Sergio’s team against Phil’s High Flyers, the Forsomes. And Sergio makes it all Get in there. Get in there. Here’s Cam Smith against Brandon Grace. Australia against South Africa. and count. This is DJ to win the seventh against Brooks Kevka to have the eighth. You’ll like that one shot. Except one easiest cuz it’s on the ground [Music] and his ninewood in there pack. Oh yeah, boy. Looks like a bouquet of flowers. That bag. Yeah. I mean, he was carrying two drivers last week as well, wasn’t he? Mini mini driver. That flag doesn’t really suit him over there on the right edge, but he has been playing a little cut much better recently. In the singles, Waco Nean and Bubba Watson. This is at the 16th. WCO to win the hole. On 10, Lee had the same on 11. Left right. Quick down there. momentum with this club in the back end of his season. Oh, give you the yardage, the elevation, the standard clubs. Kind of missed that wedge on the last one. Got to get one in tight here. Find the spin. It’s fle too far. So Lee Westwood has lost the 11th hole to Bryson Dambo in that one. All square through their opening five holes. It’s Moranc having an ungainainely lurch. That one there at six turns out great. He has had problems with spin. judges it beautifully there. And Bryson Dshambo all square against Lee. Phil Mickelson has leveled things against David Puj. This is the singles between the highf flyers and the fireballs. That was Phil’s second of 13. He made Bing. He lost the opening two holes to Dean Burmeister. They have the 18th and now Herbert makes It’s Tierrell Hatton. He was one down. Hatton won the first hole, which was the first hole. That’s what they teed off. He also won the fourth. Bland won the third and he now wins the fifth thanks to that shot to set up Birdie. So, Hans make him with three putt. That’s why I’m talking about it now. Now with a left to right up hit a beautiful puck there. Lucas Herbert has hit back in fine fashion against Dean Burmister. This singles match teed off at 16. Burmster was two up through the opening. Oh, for that reason you just don’t want to let your teammates down. That’s the key, isn’t it, David? Yeah. Has got all square in his singles match. Kind of a semi blind shot. You can see the top of the flag here at 12. Lee Westward has well you can see where Lee is and that one depending on the lineer and his second shot at nine [Applause] bar the third and Thomas Peters they lose the 11th to Mcdal individual champion picked in the last event by Turn. Oh, the right foot slipped. Yeah, it did. [Music] Wicked spin. GC in the singles against Patrick Reed. Reed won the seventh to go one up. And as you can see, all right. He probably does overcut it though a little bit. He took a filthy swipe at that one. It’s a great line right here. Oh, DJ. Yeah, he’s got that on the front edge. Get a little bit more into that green. Hits it straight. High towering drive. [Music] Hole of this match against Adrian They are all square. Again, he judges that spin to perfection. Eight and Tom McKibben to have the hole for Legion 13. Easy work. Oh. Oh, it just didn’t [Music] bunger child at the last bunker just back. Like I said, got on about five. We’ll check. Run down to it. Another good one. [Applause] It’s Lucas Harbert at four. Oh no, he didn’t like that one immediately. [Music] Westwood in this topy turvy battle with Bryson Desambo in the singles. It’s the Crushers, the second seeds against the also for eagle for an eagle as well. This is a difficult big sloping putt. Got to get the speed perfect on this. Made a monster already. Well, how good is this? Wow. And Sebastian Munoz. They are dominating their alternate shot match. But to Kade versus the Range Goat in seven holes. Highf flyers skipper Phil Mickelson is one. The Crushers are three up through seven holes of their foresomes against the Majestics. That was a third shot of 14 for Char said he was working on the length of his stroke. He said it was too short, more of a poppy stroke. He’s trying to get it longer. Stroke doesn’t look much different to me. Just Cam Smith, Ripper GC looking to defend their title. his early days, but he’s three up on the South African. Just avoided that tree on the right hand side. We just had a little chat. He was like, “Is it on the green?” I was like, “If it isn’t, it should be There was 20 yards between [Music] tree here. Yeah. Went a little down. That’s fine. Just first cut. That should be really good. Left side of the fairway. Yep. Good trick to the right. Well, off at five. Reed won the seventh. Gu won the 10th and then won the 11th after this T-shot at the par three. So Taylor Gu is one up through seven against Richard Bland. This was Hatton’s par to have the par four one up on Tori’s Meto Pereira. In fact, make that two up through nine holes. He won the third after that T- shot. if he wants it. This is Bryson playing his third out at 14. Bryce is staying. pace looks excellent. Yeah, that’s pretty good from there. That’s pretty flat there. We got to get something going. This looks long left though. Another error. Get there. Get there. [Music] Just short front left ref. Not actually the easiest pitch shot from played around the world. Well, it’s quarterfinal Friday. The Live Golf League team off by the side of the bunker. This is a relatively easy bunker shot for John. Won’t be over them. Harold Varma the third and Thomas Peters. Three down to McDow and Co now of Smash GC. Yeah, in the pre-round show I said Barner and Peters are our box of chocolates today. Pick it up. John Ram frustrated there. The Legion 13 captain is one up through nine holes of his singles match against Adrien Morac. Big swing from right to left. [Music] This was a moment ago. Dean Burmister. Seven. Very similar looking hole to the path three ninth. Kind of dragged that one away from the hole. This is their 10th hole. Got it, man. He was a little low, but needs to keep the speed up for that to have any chance. [Music] To give himself some breathing room. He’s had a few opportunities 10 yards from him staring him down. So we saw that. Oh well. There you go. D now. This will be quite a win for Taylor Guj. Patrick Reed has a 73 and2 record in Ryder Cup and he has never lost a singles match. He is 3-0 in the RDER Cup. Yeah. Yeah. In live golf he’s one and two. Yeah, it was shot by Danny Lee in the quarterfinals. That front to die. Oh, he went low. I don’t know if it’s got enough on it, though. Had a caddy named Virgil once. He was not a philosopher. It’s actually the shoe designer, Virgil Ablo, that died a couple years ago. This is their 11th hole, the 15th. And Taylor Te’s off. Catches the flag. Even better. Oh, we read that right. Now this is DJ to stay two up to see who progresses to the semifinals. Can he go three up here by winning 70 should be actually no problem contact right I know he wants that is just huge I don’t think John can see that cuz this pin is tucked over a bunker now got to be careful he might want to fly it past this pin, but there’s not much room. Ideal is just left there to an uphill putt. [Music] Going right at it a little right. [Applause] [Music] Furniture there. No way. This could be very interesting. Yes. [Music] No. [Music] This is the right. Oh, this could be tree trouble. Oh, yeah. Clattered into trees. I don’t Oh, he’s got the safe sign. [Music] Well, he’s driving it beautifully. Yeah, they gave you the safe sign. I believe it’s too far left. Long way down there. Bryson will be three up. Should he miss Wrong is playing his third because it Ward is only 10 yards behind this pin. Look at that. He plays it back towards the hole against the range goats and captain of tok. He could lose the hole. Got to go right at it. [Applause] An excellent shot. The tension is mounting here. You can follow all the matches on the pylon on the left hand side of your screen which is constantly updating and scrolling through these six matchups in the quarterfinal. You can watch any player. Got a flyer line up. No problem getting out. He’s got eight iron in his hand. Came out hot. Does have a back stop behind it. Don’t need it though. Yeah, that’s an excellent shot from that thick rough. Lovely little shot from thick rough there. Nursing this narrow advantage against Brooks Keepker who is on the green. It’s hard to get any real control without one. Four aces. And the first point is one. This uh match between the leaders, the number one seeds, Legion 13 and the Clicks is too close. Richard Bland with six holes remaining. Piece of David Poo, he’s one up. And the highf flyers are leading in two matches for golly. Two up in the other singles match and all square in the forms match. He paired Paul Casey with Charles How the third and it’s working quite nicely 67 short. Get plenty of spin on it [Music] face but he got it perfectly. No, Brooks. This one should be one bounce of skip and stop. It’s not cutting anywhere near enough. He’s going to leave himself a tough one. Birdie putts out at 17. DJ first hit. Oh, dead center. Okay, careful, especially with a gap wedge. Looks a little left. That’s got to stop quickly. See there, left of that bunker, there’s virtually no fairway. And there’s not much fairway right there either. this to win the hole against Taylor Gu and square the match. Never looked like it was going to turn that much. And Naron hit a beautiful flop to about 5 ft. You feel this has to go in. That’s a heck of a shot. Maron’s head on up with five possible holes remaining and the Polish prince has regained the advantage. rushes to go one zero up against the Majestics. And Brooks off a great T- shot at 18. Doesn’t quite get the spin he want. So a convincing victory in the foroms for the Crushers. They take the point. I wonder if John Ram’s regretting the decision not to pick the Majestics. That other ball is Adrian Morang. DJ didn’t realize till he got here on 18 that match was over [Music] this length. He said a few birdie puts at 15. It’ll be John round first. Yeah. And if this doesn’t go in, Mong’s got a good chance to go two up with four to play. When race it, you don’t want to leave yourself some too much coming back. A [Music] Westy extends the match. Just over 60 yards, but had to hit a delicate one there and he was too careful. Oh, wow. That’s a huge T- shot. Excuse me, Taylor. It’s unreal. I got to the middle of the green. It’s on a pretty good line. Yeah, it’s an excellent shot. [Music] Oh, he ran hard that one. [Music] The short par4 number one. It’s not that short, but he made it look that way. Well, the match ahead is on the green and poor Taylor four. incoming. [Music] Just happens every time. What a good P boy. Three to play against Westwood. Ortiz for birdie at 11 and he goes up against Bubba Watson in the singles. Campbell for the range goes two up on Pereira. Tom McKibben Paul. [Music] Excellent shot. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Great shot. Might spin just that bit more. A easy. And that’s what does it take. Four to play including this one. Dean Burmeister is three up with three to play in the singles against Lucas Herbert. Ripper GC has about four or five feet remaining there for their birdie at 14. This would do it. Oh yes. [Music] [Applause] the number two seed. Huge T-shot from DJ at the first and he had this for Eagle. Oh, you’re kidding. Oh, with three to play against Rahm. It could come down to Hatton against Bland. They’re all square with three to play. The driver hitting to the widest part of the fairway. doesn’t have to go across the trees and the bunkers and play across the fairway. That’s perfect. T-shot going to run through the fairway. Oh, vanishes like a golf match play. He’s three up against Abe Aner with three to play against Phil Mickelson. Oh, final stage. This was Lucas Herbert a moment ago for Birdie to extend his match. While that was going on, this was DJ for Eagle at two. Well, he has hit a couple of colossal T- shots. Needs to go a little bit. Should release on him a little bit. It looks pretty good if it releases. That’s a fantastic shot from there. Say crushes big first. That is Yeah, he wins though. Patrick Reed to win the third and square the match. Hit it on a good line just a fraction low. And he is number Watson the Range Goats captain to extend his match against Waco Nean. That misses. Walco Nean wins two. What a time to DJ wins. Tiggy B. He has this to square his match with Terrell Hatton. We can get the comp and it’s a beauty spruce dome and this could lead to tears. Oh, he’s managed it. Oh boy. Oh, what a shot. Carried it by a yard. Yeah, all credit to him. One up with two to play against Bastair and Garcia. Tremendous effort to read and to send Smash GC through to the semifinals. What’s going on? This was John Ram. A little punch and check at 18. There it is. [Music] Oh, [Music] what a terrific performance by Adrien He’s beaten John Ram two and one neessary and one concedes to the other. absolutely distraught in Indianapolis having been relegated has a chance here to win the match. How much pressure can he pile on? It’s a decided singles match. Yeah. beat Ram. That’s how close it is. Massive moment or whether it goes to extra holes. In it goes. We’ll need extra holes. Feels highf flyers already through. They lead the fireballs two to nothing. Chengali with a victory. They want if you’re looking for a first singles victory in the Live Golf League and he gets it three nothing highly and we haven’t had we had a really good first half of the season. We haven’t had the results we wanted. We’ve been fighting a few things but um this is a big day for us and and uh gosh this this is really a fun format too. It was amazing to have a front seat. Terrell Hap may have the horsepower to get there. Fisher Bland just short of the green as it crosses that little ridge. No, just pulled up a little too quickly for him. Oh, that’s got to settle. Get down. Oh boy. That is the problem. A beautiful putt. And that makes the hole look really small for Richard. Oh, that is so disappointing for Richard Bland who’s been such a stalwart here. The 52year-old in the Live Golf League. It went to 19 holes. Boy, they gave the number one seeds Legion 13 a scare.

  1. This is such a great format. The matchups for the the semis are great although I wish Bryson was playing Brooks in singles.

  2. For those who didn't see the press conference here's the matchups for tomorrow's semis:

    Legion vs Hi Flyers
    Crushers vs Smash
    Torque vs Stinger

All the other teams are also playing for 7th to 12th in the standings.

  3. Love when underdogs come through. What a win for Mickelson's HyFlyers. Tringale now 6-0 in his LIV career! The Cleeks were so close.

  4. FOX!
You need to make sure your local affiliates are actually airing the golf!

Louisville, Kentucky via spectrum didn’t today!

  5. Great up and down Phil to win. Agree w comment on air time hogs albeit challenging. Noticed DJ hit into gooch and reed short par 4, drove the green. Meronk had the momentum just mentally up all round. Semi finals should be a lot easier to edit Im certainly not interested in losers bracket. Thxs beautiful day and golf course love seeing fans too.

  6. Wow! The conditioning of this public golf course is very immaculate, you feel like you're at a high-end private golf club. Two thumbs WAY up for the course superintendent & the crew at The Cardinal for this gem.

  7. Matchplay highlights don't have the same vibe as what matchplay really feels like. Matchplay is brutal, niggly, annoying, tricky. It's not comfortable. It's a battle that brings out emotions that would turn a happy golfer into a drip if it was every round. But it's nice once a year at club champs time. I gave up on Matchplay interclub. Would prefer strokeplay interclub, in grades, where clubs could attempt to qualify for a FA Cup style event. I like this idea of an end of season Matchplay event to decide the team winner. I hope they keep the Tour Championship strokeplay but it's not my choice. Would be cool though if LIV made an effort to create an FA Cup, where the top 4 teams qualify for quarter finals and 4 teams from around the world could try to qualify

  8. LIV Highlights usually good. the set-up to this team tourney was exceptionally poor – ie no set-up. Status to teams, who was playing who. Worst job ever guys if want to promote team golf – do it properly!

  9. Nice to see these guys swinging the club. The problem, I have no idea what game they’re playing. How do you win or lose?

  10. Sorry – impossible to follow – was really looking forward to the playoffs. Maybe the final round will make sense.

  11. Video is away too quick, needs a few seconds before each shot to explain what's the situation…..pity bland 3 putted, be great to see those hot heads Hatton & Rahm knocked out.
