Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler have confirmed their four-man teams for their exhibition match in December.
The Masters champion, 36, and top-ranked Scheffler, 29, will lock horns at the Golf Channel Games on 17 December at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.
The made-for-TV event will also be played under the lights and will not resemble traditional golf, with the participants taking part in a series of challenges.
On Monday, McIlroy has confirmed that his team will consist of his good buddy Shane Lowry, Europe’s Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and the surprise name of Haotong Li.
Li, a four-time DP World Tour winner, is one of the quirkier personalities in men’s professional.

Scheffler has picked his best friend on the PGA Tour, Sam Burns, rising star Luke Clanton and Donald’s counterpart at Bethpage Black in Keegan Bradley.
The Golf Channel Games includes five challenges and will air live in primetime on Golf Channel and USA Network.
This is not the first time McIlroy and Scheffler have appeared in an exhibition match. Last December, the duo faced LIV Golf pair Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.
The PGA Tour duo dominated ‘The Showdown’ in what was billed as a grudge match.

Challenge
Description
Timed drive, chip and putt
Solo competition where players attempt to drive a total number of yards, chip within a certain proximity to the pin, and hole a certain number of feet of putts as quickly as possible.
14-Club challenge
One player from each team competes in a closest-to-the-pin contest, taking turns selecting a club from a single bag. Once a club is used, it’s out of play. All eight players will participate in four total matchups from a designated spot on the course.
Timed shootout
A four-player alternate shot on three holes with teammates staged on the tee (one), in the fairway (one), and around the green (two). Players aim to finish with the best score in the shortest amount of time.
Captain’s challenge
The final competition between McIlroy and Scheffler. Each hits shots from predetermined locations (100-yard wedge, 50-yard pitch, bunker shot, greenside shot, 50-foot putt, 10-foot putt). The lowest total distance from the hole across all shots wins.
