Welcome back to the channel guys and boy do we have a video for you today. Legendary boxing trainer Adam Booth joins us at Foxhills for nine holes, where we discuss watching Tony Bellew spar David Price and coaching David Haye.

Hope you enjoy, Lock & T.

time I try and it should have visited like that first time. Welcome to another episode of lock and tea. I remember you nailed Tony on the button and I was like, “Oh, I see.” All right, okay. That’s quite interesting. Have a look at this life. He just got in there. That is crazy how it’s just ended up in there. It was crazy how you found it. I mean, I must admit, absolutely insane. 5 weeks before our first ever World title fight and it was everything to us and we had nothing. Yeah. And we’re living in this remote part of northern Cyprus and uh and it just got too much. Welcome back to L. I thought you were closing for a picture. I’m standing like a just smack bang in there. Welcome back to Lock and Tea. I am the lock and I am the T. And today we are here at Fox Hills Country Club where we’re going to be playing a nine-hole with our very special guest, boxing coach legend Adam Boo. Thank you for coming on the channel, brother. I feel like the the hair on a coursing channel. Thank you very much, Adam. Not at all, bro. It’s like a debut on the channel. We’re out here. It’s a nice pleasant day. We’re going to be playing what’s it called? Split sixes. Yeah. Moving here. We’re playing against each other. So, every hole, there’s six points up for grabs. If you half it, then you half the points. So, if you win the hole, you get four. Come second. If you get two, if we both come second, two. Simple as that. No, we get one each. He wins that whole outright. Six points up. Yeah, we get one each. I got lost as soon as you said sixes. My bad. This is what I hate about golf. Love it. If you crap, you’re crap. Just take Adam. If I can understand this sixes, you can definitely understand this grabs. I’ve only just learned like winner gets four. Second place if second place gets two, last place gets zero. But if second and third place finishes on the same ones, it’s one point each. But the winner still gets four. Rolls off the tongue, Tom. It rolls. I’m trying my best. If you don’t understand split sixes, don’t worry about it. Google it. You’ll find out. And that’s why he’s a single finger handicapper. Single figure handicapper. Couldn’t have placed that any better. We’ll have that better. I just didn’t try and hit it hard. Sorry. Just didn’t try and hit it hard and then take this stupid chain off. That’s not going to help absolutely anybody. I don’t know what that is. Just like a spaceship. I keep asking him, but what’s that for? [Laughter] Yeah, sure. Great strike. Thank you, gentlemen. Have a good one. Thank you very much, Jam. Time to talk us through it. What’s going on? So, it’s 127. I’m just going to go up a club. I just need to not give this a big thought processes. If I go up a club, I don’t have to hit it hard. Now, I’ve just got to align myself correctly. And there you go. It’s probably gone exactly where I’ve aimed, which is left. Not a bad lead there. Yeah, just not a bad connection. Just left. And I’m trying to align myself all the time. I’m trying to ignore the top of that tree, but it’s early in the round, so I don’t want to get I’m not going to over complicate it. I’m just going to try and get a contact. It’s a shot. It’s coming back in. Boys on the green floor. Well done, Adam. Might have a player. Jeez. Do I think about golf and tennis? What is it? Is that you’re not you’re not you’re not affected by any outline influence, right? No one’s going to shoulder barge you or do anything like that. And yet you got to have pristine conditions, perfect silence for someone to look at look at what fighters have to do, right? Your your your technique can’t be under pristine conditions affected by somebody else. But there’s so many different things to take into. You might be better if this if if people start smack talking you best go. It’s not like that with Locky cuz this [ __ ] just does it all the way around. Just insults me all the way around. Come on, let’s go. He spun it. Sit. Good enough. I thought that was good. That’s a great shot. It’s okay. What’s them bunkers looking like? Hard. Very hard. [ __ ] Oh no. Who came out of this hole? Not yet. Not yet. You’d never know. Can’t get it up and down. Yeah, I can’t get it up and down. [ __ ] is it? Pick it up, mate. I will not pick it up. I will pick it up then. [Laughter] All right. All right. All right, boo. It’s on you. All Adam’s words was to me. You’re part of a lynch course. You must be amazing out of bunkers. Yep. As we’ve seen, that’s me. Lost the hole. There’s a serious focus about the boy today. There’s a serious focus about the boy today. You don’t don’t mistake my bad eyesight squinting for for any intellectual capability. Oh, I would have took I just realized that. I realized that I’m not just here to have fun now. I’m here to win. You’re here to win. You put the idea in my head to be fair. I just [ __ ] wrecked the whole thing by taking that attitude. Right. You’re here for birdie. Oh, is he? It’s nowhere near enough. Oh, that’s shocking. Yeah, I know. Okay. I’ll try and ignore Tony and his road rage. Yeah, it’s good. Good line. Uh, this here is to half the win basically. Okay. If not, I take four. Adam Boo there. He’ll be taking two and Tony will be taking none. It’s got a chance. Oh, well done. M’s not playing around. 22. Good shot. 33. Oh, game on. Game on. Right, hole two. We share some points. Adam and himself, three points each. Let’s just stroke it down there then. This looks like a dog leg, right, Bernard Hunt? Second hole. I’ve got five iron. See if we can just show us what you feed one down there. A that’s bad. That didn’t sound right, but it’s gone. Right. Sit. Okay. Missed the whole ball. Is red out of bounds or is red just mean does mean watered in it? Oh, you got to turn it the other way. You see? Yeah. Such a luck. I didn’t even see it come down or it started on the very edge. It rattled a couple of my picked up. There’s something there on the very edge. Over me, I’m not seeing these come down. I didn’t come down. We’ll find it. We’ll find them. Jesus Christ. I’m aiming in the Got a hybrid in me hand. One 9 foot. Just trying to align myself correctly. [ __ ] off. Look, I just can’t do anything today. This is just getting worse. L mate, it’s a sandy lie as well. It’s not lock [ __ ] Yeah, you’re absolutely diabolically [ __ ] Oh, well out. That’ll work. That was hideous. Probably one of the worst five irons I’ve ever hit, but we move. Got a little gap to play out here. It’s a tough shot. Don’t know how it’s going to pop out. This is where decision making is pretty poor, but we’re here for the win. What out? Well done. Great shot. I’ll take that. Well, out in that. It’s not nice. It’s just [ __ ] Golf. It’s all right, mate. I know, mate. But it’s dreadful. You get a shot every All you need to do is just get off the tea. Looks nice. Shot. Shot, mate. You’re dancing. You’re dancing. Shot. Oh, he’s killed it. Great shot. Oh, he’s killed me. I can’t take that bugard. I’ve lost the will to live. That certainly ain’t going in. I actually hit saddest part about that. I actually hit the floor first. Could you imagine if I hit it? Well, keep going then cuz his did. Oh. Oh, you bastard. That’s what I’m looking at. Take that away. What’s that for bogey? Yeah. I need this to uh half the point you stop and turned. It didn’t. What a put. What a put. Now I got to check the stroke index on this bad boy. All right, we’ve had a quick rule change. It’s not a rule change. I think the starter got it wrong. All right, he believes the starter’s got it wrong. Mug me. He’s taken two shots. The mere fact that they’ve said four shots for Adam Booth is an absolute disgrace. He said, “So, uh, I won the last hole.” What is going on today? It’s up in the sky. I heard it land of that first trap. Yeah, I heard it land. It on the third. Just went three miles in the air. Water. Stay. Stay. Stay. Yeah. Okay. And the best I’ve seen a ball run today. Oh, done. What you done? Telling you what though, yours perfectly straight down the middle of the fairway. Straight down the middle. Oh, to the left of the bunker. Perfect. Remember, you got two shots. Yeah. Overall, two two shots. Two shots. Right, Adam, we played together. We had a worldy of a time. Fox Hills, come on. Talk to us about that before I even ask you about your entry into golf. My first ever eagle was here. Remember with us? Is that was it the first time? 17th hole. Yeah. We were going to win. Yeah. Drove the green. Mhm. And then that lucky putt went in. What course? And we It was here. I was hoping you’d be my lucky charm. And now you’re my competition. Yeah. No, we have we had to figure out a way of making this competitive with all three of us. It’s usually just me and him going headtohead. And he always beats me, by the way. He just gets too many shots in me and I’m not good enough to keep. No, no, don’t don’t do me like that. I’m not going to get too many shots. I have really good days some days and then I have really bad days which is just temper and temperament is terrible. But one thing I will give him, he’s actually subategorized that he said temper and temperament. No progress. There’s been no progress. What I will say about Terren is that he leaves his anger in the shot. So once he’s got it out way, he doesn’t bring it into the next shot. No, I’m lying. He actually does. The worst lie ever. He does. He does. It’s literally on It’s on my shoulder. We only drive in separate buggies when you play. We should do, but we don’t. He usually gets anything yet. He usually gets mumbling off the shot. And he loves to antagonize as well, which is even better. All right, bro. Talk to us about your entry into golf and how you got started and how long you’ve been playing for. Uh, eight handicap right now. Yeah. Single fingers. 2017. So, not that long. Realized I was getting a bit older. Yeah. Thought what shall I do? And I actually moved somewhere that was near a golf course. Right. So, I uh borrowed a buggy key and just kept going out and uh here I am. Like it it didn’t take long for it to catch hold of me. Yeah. I could tell cuz when I text you and I said, “Look, we’re going to be out here.” He said, “Yep, like butter on warm toast.” And you was out here straight away. So, love for that. Thank you. How’s things going for you? How’s uh work and whatnot? Um yeah, it’s I mean a a down period. Okay. You although you wouldn’t think so seeing some of my shots at the moment, but I’ve been sort of relaxing and playing a bit of golf. Um yeah, might have to have an operation on the shoulder. Falling apart now. Taking a lot I’ve taken a lot of punches on my you know right hand over the years. I don’t know whether that’s because I’m out of boxing, but I would never ever think when you’re holding on the pads and that that was an issue. You’re absorbing all I say this to people. People always ask me, why wouldn’t you coach, you’ve got so much knowledge inside your head with fighting? And you have to understand every time the fight is in the gym, who’s with him? It’s coach. So every time that fight’s in there, the coach is there with him. Yeah. And it it it used it took over my life, my my life was about fighting. his life will have been about fighting too because he’s been there every step of the way. And the hardest part about it is as a coach for me is it’s not like a fighter because a fighter has a career and that’s it. It’s over. It’s gone. He’s got to live through how many different careers time after time and he’s got to go through the highs and the lows and the the mistakes and the ups and the downs and then you try and relay that to a fighter which is even harder because he doesn’t really want to know. He just thinks about he’s going through this for the first time. Yeah. This is his fourth or fifth time through it and they don’t I just couldn’t do it. so frustrating. It’s so hard. But but I will say this, the rewards are are huge and the sacrifices all come to roost when your boy does the job. Yeah. So therapy sessions. No, I was just thinking it does. I feel quite cathartic. I feel like I feel like we should uh probably do this more often. Would you Well, therapy sessions for me. It’s a lot. It’s a lot of investment. Here’s a question. If you hold your if you hold you’re a left hooker, right? So if you hold that hand up now. Yeah. and let him swing one hard shot and let him get the knuckle in there. Just one. Yeah. You be right with that? Yeah. Go on. Just one. No. Okay. So, just just so you know, like that’s what my knuckle feels like. Jesus. Okay. Mine are snuff. So, how many out of the 30 years, how many times do you think that hand’s been hit? I tried to calculate my hand and I got up to about 1.7 million. I was going to say you’re well over a million. Well, you just I had a shoulder scan the other day and I got the report. I’m I don’t even know where to get started on this and I’ll go see the consultant tomorrow. You have to understand the amount of damage that the body goes to, especially for a coach. It’s just constant. It’s repetitive. You got to remember the fighter is there to practice. It’s not like a football he goes on the pitch and he hits 50 balls. The fighter is there to throw 50 different combinations. Never mind 50 shots, 50 different combinations. And in that combination could be two, three, four, five, six punch combinations, whatever it is over two phases. And the coach is going to absorb every single one of them. Not one or two, every single one. He even absorbs is the frightening part. I, as I have moved, I had a couple of different coaches in me career and I took little bits from each coach and advanced it and proped it. And when I got to Dave Calwell, I started getting to the point where I’d faint on the pads. I would sell him a faint and he would react naturally. And I need him to react because I need to be believer when I get in the ring. I’m going to do it on the fighter. And it would be the twitch or there. And as you as you pop him, he he goes and even them little reactions, bro. They’re they’re a lot on the joints and that’s without even hitting them. So the they’re being here and and the the movement it’s draining. It’s tight and it’s hard. Quite nice to hear fighter approve. I know. I was just thinking that like I’m thinking on the food chain a lot of the time. Yeah. People just don’t really I don’t understand because we’ve got a coach here and I’m like I’m hearing it from a fighter perspective which is mind-blowing for me as well to hear it from that. Ty’s been through everything as a fighter, right? He’s not not only been through everything as a fighter, he’s processed it. Not every fighter does that. He process processes it, understands it, and can articulate it. And that’s always refreshing because, you know, when you’re a coaching, you care about your fighters. For me, I care about what they’re going to be like when they walk away from their career at the end of it. How much money have they got in the bank and how many brain cells are left intact? Because every time you go in for a fight, you’re never the same person when you come out. And most of the time it doesn’t matter how easy the fight is because you’ve also got the preparation. Yeah. Now, now now Tony’s got a big heart. And my impression of Tony is it can go that way or it can go that way. I’ll never forget I had a fight that got knocked out and he got knocked out quite badly in a really grueling fight and he was unconscious on the floor and they couldn’t get the gum shield out of his mouth and I’m so I’m standing and everyone was huddled around and someone tapped the back of my leg and it was him and there was mayhem going on at the time. It was him and he had a blanket in his hand offering me the blanket to put over the fighter to keep him warm. Bearing in mind that this is in a 10,000 seat arena with mayhem going on. That’s what Tony’s Yeah. I I never I never worked with him. Yeah. And I never worked against him save for one sparring session. It was mad stuff. What happened there? The truth of the story, David Haye was supposed to fight for the British cruiserweight title. Okay. Hson and his SNC coach had done his hamstring on a on a sprint session. So he hadn’t sparred for 3 weeks and we had like two weeks to go to the fight and uh so we drove up to Liverpool for him to spar with David Price supposed we supposed to fight Mark Hobson. So we got to which gym was it? Sully got to Sullie and said oh we got we got this crew we got this cruise weight or light heavyweight amateur. I what’s he like won the ABAs or something like just won the ABAS at heavyweight 91 cruise weight limit. So I thought, okay, you’re right. So anyway, and I can’t remember who we I can’t remember who we started with. I think it was Tone. And all I remember was thinking, [ __ ] he can take a shot cuz right David could whack, but he couldn’t move his leg that day, right? So he had had no choice but to stand and just let his hands go because we were trying to get a spar out before having a British starter fight with a damaged hamstring. And I remember he nailed Tony on the button and I was like, “Oh, that’s all right. Okay, that’s quite interesting.” And then got out and then he sparred with Pricey and David was a sitting duck because he couldn’t move and Pricey can whack. Yeah, mate. And uh and he caught David with a a shot. I was like, “All right, it was a bit bit of a brutal sparring session, but we we then drove up to Liverpool, did the spar, and drove back from Liverpool.” And on the drive back, I said, “No, we’re putting out this fight. You can’t move. You can’t push. You can’t fight.” And that’s just happened. We move on to the next one. Still to this day, that’s the hardest I’ve ever been hit. Really? Yeah. That something happened that day to me. He hit me with an uppercut. He blinded me with his left hand. I was coming out and I never come out like this to have a look at somebody and I knew David. I’d studied them. I’d watched them. I admired them as a fight even in the world championships in Ireland getting a silver medal against if I am right. And he loses the final after hitting him with an uppercut nearly putting him asleep. His back breaks. He comes back up. He comes out of nowhere, he gets on with it. I’m sparring. Turns up the first time I’d ever been paid cash money to spar somebody. So I couldn’t believe you then. I was just won me first ABA title. I was 21. Is that what you were? Yeah. 21. He’s always looked older. And he come out and I remember thinking, right, I know he’s slick. He’s got the left handy and he’s just going to wait for me and he’s going to trigger me. And he I come out and I just done this and I just had the look and and like a stupid fool, he just put his hand in me face like this and he blinded. So me like an idiot, right? When someone does this, you should just take a slight step back. He’s obviously trying to gauge the range or whatever trying to do, but me like an idiot, stood still. And if you put your left hand out like this, just straight out, it was there. And I tried to look around it. And bro, before I knew it, this uppercut came right through the middle and went boom. And it hit me so bump and me head just went up and and me back done this for no reason. For no reason. I to this day, I still it’s never done it. Me back went boom like a donkey. And I said to him, “Good shot.” And he looked at me as if to say like you should be on the floor now because of that. While he’s thinking that I’m thinking [ __ ] take a shot. Never ever again did it happen. And I just thought to myself he that like that power that I’ve never and he had 16 gloves on. So to to get a reaction like that with 16 what do you fight? What else do you fight with? Fighting tens and there’s nothing in them all the way to the you get knuckles when you fight mate. That’s crazy. And he is the biggest puncher I’ve ever faced. And people say, “But why did you stop him when you beat him? Why didn’t you knock it out like who’s sick?” I had when you’re in camp, I’ve never been dropped in Spartan. I’ve never been down on the floor, but your body is in perfect not so much condition, but you’re hydrated. You’ve got all your everything is in your body and it’s like it’s really hard to knock somebody out in Spartan in my opinion. As long as they’re in in good condition, it’s really hard. And but his power was just like it’s mind-blowing. Yeah. when I got even when I got in the ring with him, I knew how dangerous he was and when I finally fought him after many years he left Adam. Uh different fighter, but one thing, he never loses power. Yeah. Like he’s got freaky power. Like I he possibly I would possibly go as far as saying he’s in the top three pound-for-pound punches this country’s ever produced. Him, Nasim, Hamemed, Nigel. Yeah, I would probably go Nigel Ben. It’s It’s them three. All right, quick question. Last question before we go. Um, and and by the way, Adam made him from scratch. Love that. Adam was So that’s the difference with coaches. We have in the UK today, we have lots of great pad men, lots of PTs. We have very few teachers. Yeah, he is one of very few teachers who teach things, who who who show things and start from scratch and get to the end. And not we we don’t have it normal. There’s so many pad men. There’s so many coaches that are great on doing this tip top [ __ ] There’s very few teachers who can break someone down. Identify your weaknesses, identify your strengths, and work with what you’ve got. Adam’s done it with different fighters. Even someone as good as Andy Lee. Andy Lee come from, in my opinion, the greatest coach the world’s ever seen in Emanuel Stewart from Mcron and he comes to Adam and Adam still adds to him. How can you add to someone who’s been with the greatest coach ever? He finds a way to add to him. So, he gets five shots of hope. Just so you understand. And I know that’s just the truth. That’s just saying that it is. Let’s go play some golf. Well, I want you to ask Adam this question in the buggy. And the question is, how do you detach yourself emotionally from your fighters when they what they’re going through throughout training for a fight, winning or losing? That’s the question you got. So, you can’t. Yeah. Shot. Well done. So, you take that. Yeah, I’ll take that. Oh, knuckled it again. See, when people with single handicaps can do these things, it makes me feel like I don’t have to be so tough on myself because these are good players. They don’t happen too often though, mate. No, no, no, no. But you are good players, so if it can happen to you, it can definitely happen to fat boy. Yeah. N2 behind. So for Locky, that’s probably just an N9. I’m taking the piss [ __ ] stick. That is the biggest dildo I’ve ever seen in my life. Look at this. Imagine I could a ball like that. Oh no. Better rhythm. Last. Yeah. Great shot. Back swing down. Yeah. Shot, mate. And you are on there. You are dancing. That is a lovely shot. Oh, it’s going towards it as well. I think that’s going to look so good when we get out there. Great shot. I need this to hit the green. You say it’s preferred lies. Yeah, mate. In the fairways here. Good flight. Kick right. Oh, he did. He did kick right. Oh, hello. Oh, I’ll do days. Happy days. He’s loosened up, boys. Hey, I got a bit lucky with that bounce. I’ve got some work to do. His rage is his emotional stretching. I got a nice bounce. I got a bit I wouldn’t say lucky, but I really need to sort that turn shot. It’ll come. All right, this ain’t easy. This Now, this is what stops me from becoming a lower handicapper. Just these shots here. For me, I want to finesse it. I want to, you know, I feel like I could hit the number like I do in the sim. But really, I just need to think about getting on the green and being able to just putt. So, let’s just try and get on the green. Oh, you summer. It’s a great shot. Yeah, that’s what happens when you just want to get on the green. That was his third shot, wasn’t it? I lucky to roll five. Yeah. Should have just hit that a little bit more. Not at all. Oh, that’s unlucky. It’s not bad. You know, it looked like it was trying, wasn’t it? Trying to stay straight. I’ve won the hole. Unless I get this in. And then this to share. Okay, that’ll do for me. It’s about time. Long overdue. [ __ ] Hold hold up a second. Oh, so yeah. So, he gets a shot. Yeah, he gets a shot. Four and two. Yeah. He’s done it, hasn’t he? Oh, he’s killed it. Oh, he’s killed it. So, three each for these two. [ __ ] off. What a birdie that was. Won’t even let me have a hole on me. Oh, you’re hot now. You’re hot now. It’s a great up and down from there. Ridiculous. You didn’t deserve that either. You didn’t deserve to be there. I mean, just not let me have a little bit of glory. Why’d you have to steal all the glory? You can’t just let me have a hole to myself. Dave Caldo was the best professional coach I spent time around and and I learned stuff with him and but I loved him. I adore him. He was at me wedding. He’s me friend. But I didn’t have a personal relation. Like I go to the gym. I train in the gym. I do me a bit of extra work after I finish with Dave in the gym. Then I go the hotel and I’m alone and that’s it. So years ago, Hay and I shared a house together. We moved to Cyprus and had a couple of videos next to each other. Um, Andy Lee lived with me for two years. Wow. Ryan Bennett lived with me for two, three, whatever. Andy and Ryan lived with me for years. Um, lived in the house with me. In the house with me. Now, here’s the thing, right? Because David was David’s a certain type of character, right? And very fun, funny, witty. He’s actually got a really high IQ. M um he’s hilarious to have a to like have a laugh with and spend a day with. Uh some aspects of what he does as a fighter are the easiest things to coach because he doesn’t get he’ll take a risk to tin you and get tin himself, right? And and that’s that you can work with that. But other aspects that comes at a price. There’s there’s things that are difficult to deal with and our friendship and working relationship went on for 12 or 14 years, maybe longer. No, longer than that. My bad is 16 years. That’s a long time. And there’s a story when he uh when he were training for Mormeck and we were five weeks away from the fight, our first ever world title fight. It’s the biggest win of the and we’d been training for 17 weeks cuz Don King kept delaying the fight. It was just him and me in Northern Cyprus in this metal work shack. We put a ring up with some lights and stuff like that, but it was only him and me and we were living in the same villa. We had no money and it was, you know, it was intense. And then it was really my first experience of suffering with that so badly to the point where I knew that and we that what more wanted to do and we we talked about this thing where he had to keep right stepping and it was this L step where the front foot kicks the back foot off to the right. So you change angle whilst taking distance away as well. kept doing it and he was refusing to do it in the gym in sparring and and we were this thing. So, we’re driving in a car on the way back to the villa and it had been getting like every day have not talking at all. Sitting next to on the table next to having breakfast, not talking to you two, just us two because you had you sick to death of each other listening to her, right? And uh in the sitting in the car at the villa sitting in the car in the villa after and I said uh we’re arguing about this point. I said, “David, if you don’t do that, his head’s going to be in your face the whole time. this and this and you know we we uh I can’t I can’t do it and I don’t want to do something I can’t do. I said, “Okay, so what’s your plan then? I’ll figure it out when I get in there.” Sorry. I said, “Dave, I can’t go along with that. You know, I’m not a cheerleader.” We gone back into the villa. Now it’s like 11:00 at night, 3:00 in the morning. I packed my suitcase, went to the airport, and came back to England for two weeks. Didn’t speak to him for two weeks. And we’re five weeks away from our first ever World Fight together. I my head had gone that badly and believe you me the guy who’s talking about John Mark was a serious dude the the the Lenil cruiserweight champion of the world unified champion of the world in cruise division no one was touching him powerful strong athletic durable so what happened then he went there and smashed him what happened like he play the shot and then I’ll finish the story off but he done it he done it done it speaking about the Lshape because You agreed to Mor. You can’t come back. Let me I need to hear how you went. You went back home two weeks and come back in 17. Oh, I’ve forgotten the number now. I say 179. Oh, he’s pushed it. Oh, push. Oh, sure. Okay, that’s okay. Bad enough to be all right. No. Yes. Bunker. I think it’s far enough. Okay, you’re not best. I feel bad for saying that. No, it’s all good. Only momentarily, by the way, because he’s literally lifted up. 10 strike. Oh, go in the hole. That’s number one. Go in the hole. Oh, it’s bit short. No, it’s not. It’s on, isn’t it? Bit short. It’s on the green, bro. Don’t start that [ __ ] with me. 10. Three. Five. Yeah, I said that’s what I said over there. So, I have got 10. Would you class your hybrids as like woods? I don’t use them. But would you class them as if I had one? Yes. Great answer. Oh, he has got one. I don’t use them. Hasn’t got one. Don’t use them. Would you class him though? Would you say hers? But he can’t class him. He hasn’t got one. Oh, for a shot. I just didn’t know how to hit. Unlucky. That’s really unlucky. Lucky. That was spinning as well. You know that spin on it. That’s a great effort. That is good. It’s a great It’s a great effort, but I’m still going to have to see that. But it is rightly so. He’s left it short. Oh, your husband did it. It’s a great Oh, it just kicked last minute. Oh, he’s missed it. That’s [ __ ] That’s unlucky. That’s [ __ ] [ __ ] Well, you [ __ ] for turn at the end. What was that for? Four. Three. Three. So, that’s for four. I actually need to You need to sink this for the for the half. Yeah. No, you’ve won the hole. No, you get a shot. You get a shot in every hole. I’m not wed. Well, we make we did make a rule on the par threes to be fair. Stop it. You’ve seen him at pressing. We are not re-evaluating the situation at this stage, boys. We are four holes in shot. So, what does that mean? How does that work then? Is that 411? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that’s why is the club nearly falling out my hand. You’re fine there. See over here, aren’t I? There’s a crappy bit between 260 and 280. It’s going to Is that going to miss the water? Oh, it didn’t make a sound, so it went through. [ __ ] You remember here? No, I filmed it a few times. Oh, okay. Are you happy? Are you happy with that? No. Now that was a very controlled drive, Adam. That was proper technical [ __ ] gold. Pipe and slippers. I should be all right. That was just nice. Oh, am I feeling brave? Yeah, it’s my turn now. E, cuz I’m safe, by the way. Yeah, you’re safe. Have you took your shot? Safe as houses. Probably A1 position for a bad drive. I’ll take that. Shot off the back leg. I think is incoming. Well, it says what the trees are like 80% air, isn’t it? Really? So, just hit up into that and it’ll come out. Who said trees 80% air? Me. A for [ __ ] sake. Why you just keep mentioning trees? Trees are 80% air before. And it’s normally followed by So, all you have to do really is just hit in the trees and it will go through. You What was you thinking? Huzzled it. Is it in the water? Yeah. Maybe I don’t have to make birdie ear. Adam, watch yourself there, mate. Shot. All the lies you can have. You have a lie like that. Have a look at that. Great stuff. Sensible. This is This is the decision making that I do. That’s wrong. The sensible play here is to hit a seven iron and just advance it because of that lie. But no, no, we get a big foreign out and we just Watch yourself, Tone. It was a good strike to be fair. Just had to muscle it. So, my uh golf channel etiquette is a bit novice like I thought we were just trying to move to get out of the way and him. So, I’ve hit my third shot. Third shot. Absolute weldy with a seven iron. gone on a green from 178 uphill. He’s saying I’ve got to play again. I’m not saying you got to play again. I’m saying that like you talking about a shot and us seeing a shot. Two different things. I know. But well, we might get up there and it’s nowhere near where I thought it was cuz bad eyesight. Think that’ll fly out on that lie. No idea what that means. Unless you’re fatty. That is mate. You saw what he was doing to me on the first date. [ __ ] off. So, how long you How long have you two been dating? Too long, it seems. Too long. Too long. Past the honeymoon period. Definitely. Yeah. Past the honeymoon period. Oh, fat as [ __ ] Every shot on these [ __ ] park land courses is fat as [ __ ] It’s a [ __ ] roller bar out of East Enders. It’s an emotional roller coaster. How you go from winning and holes to utter [ __ ] Didn’t like the sound of that. And his silence says a thousand words. 54 in hand again. Let’s not try to be cute with this. It’s right here. That’ll get us to scratch. 58 yards. You know you can play that number. Please be good. Please be birdie potable. Oh, this new wave of thinking is actually helping. I like it. Sit and touch. Yeah. And it didn’t go in. Try to chip that piece of [ __ ] in the hole. That’s me out. That’s a good effort. O great putt that. That’s a good effort. See how I’ve got birdie part and now they’re building up conversation. You see what’s going on here? Yeah, they know. They know. They know that. All right, let me take my putt, guys. Yeah. Is that all right? If you miss it, A good. That was a tricky part. It just wouldn’t What was tricky about it? This bit. It’s firm, right? If I [ __ ] miss this now, I need to shut up for the next two holes. Ah, you see, I told you. I told you it’s got snacks. Karma is a [ __ ] that never forgets where you live. All right. It’s a close shot. Is it? There’s a swear. I was going to say to Adam, your aim and left, but I thought just shut the [ __ ] up. Don’t tell There’s a little There’s a What do you reckon? I was about There is a snap in there. That’s It was just throwing me. I called it as well. So, it’s like it’s [ __ ] So, is he one snap again? Is that shared or can’t see? I told you. So, 42. Oh, so Locky wins the hole. So I’m 15. I can’t do He plays like a man that’s got a golf simulator at home. Can’t do it when he’s doing things like that. That’s There was There was even this There was even There was a Mayweather lip pout as he took the B. Absolutely. No, you you finished the whole B [ __ ] t-shirt all day. It’s definitely on you champ. Oh, I should laugh more [ __ ] time. Jesus Christ big as well. They are too monsters. You’ll find I think there’s a gap. It’s starting to fade less. What? That’s lining up his feet. Yeah. Shot. O. You might want us [ __ ] talking in your back swing a bit more often. Tone. That’s on the pin. Oh, Jesus. Huh? Had a He had a little moan and then gave it like a little 15° draw. Watch the smoke. Come. Watch the smoke. Watch this. He’s I’m after that smoke. Let me see that. What’s that? [Laughter] There it is. Look how excited he is. See how the golf just changes your whole mood? One minute he just didn’t want to play the game. That ruptured Achilles tendon sealed up. I know. He’s climbing up buggies to see his ball. Also, he’s like he’s like that fellow that turns up at the gym and says he’s forgot his gum shield and then all of a sudden I’ve come across a few of them me time. If you can’t hit a pitching wedge, then you don’t deserve to be here, you idiot. Worked out. That has worked out. It didn’t feel Somebody’s on the green. Says somebody’s on. See this gas? He’s talking. Somebody’s on the green. You know that’s part four. It’s got to be a part four. It’s not long enough to be a five. Oh my [ __ ] god. Really soft greens. You’re supposed to shout. No, you could see the line of thought you saw it. I actually thought I was going to turn back in. Oh, that’s a good shot. Good shot. Ah. Did not see it coming back in the last minute. Good paw. Yeah, it’s about time. Thanks, lad. You going to stand right behind me in my ey line? Yeah. Okay, no problem at all. I got a cameraman there. It’s like having you there. It’s like a double whmy. Eat. [Laughter] Sounds good. Turn away. Oh man. Lock. Is this for you for what? Paul, take it away. So he’s got Well, you got this for the two. That’s not easy. Just saying. This guy. Just saying. Just saying. There’s a lot of IN is it just me? Huh? Is that uphill or is it just me? Just like Oh, who needs enemies? Who? The first bits up and then it flattens out. I see it come this way and come around. I’m trying to think if water’s running down like you told me. Really? Really? I’m trying. It’s flowing now. Can I take this pot? Okay. And in the late night at this wonderful golf course, a putt has been missed again. We got three holes left. I’ve just playing Adam’s golf. Where’s that? In the ridge. Did you hold it? Did you hold off it? Yeah. Held back. You don’t There’s no need to go at it. That do you think that’s 264 for ridge? That’s exactly how I hit mine. I didn’t see it. No, it’s in the middle. I can see it now. You’re in the middle of the fairway strike. [ __ ] me. That’s a That’s some flight. That is. Yeah, we actually need him to start. We need him to hit a couple of douffs. Don’t worry, they’ll come. Please tell me my freewood hasn’t got past your drivers. Should have done. I just tapped. I told you the way you swang at it. It was a half swing. You biting the ball. I literally tapped it. Oh, fat again. He in the bridge. You’re over. Think fat again. Fat is. Look at the mark in the sat in the ground. Bro, if we play a full 18, I’ll give you the desired shots. But as we’re playing nine, I think it’s unfair that you get two shots. What is it on the two hardest holes? I didn’t get two shots on the on the hardest hole. I just won it. Well, I didn’t win it at all, did I? Oh, he’s fatted it again. I don’t like that club today. Oh, you need to stay out right. You know what? I think you’ll be able to see enough of the green from there. All right, watch when I hit this shot. Watch the noise that these guys give me. Yeah. You going to let me hit the shot first or you going to start? You know, 250. You know what this is like? This is like being on social media and hearing everyone talk about Arsenal. It’s just watch. 250 in tree in your line. Bunker to the right. I mean, god help if you hit that bunker. I mean, that’s a really tough bunker. It looks like we got a lot of room. Like, have you got a natural fade or a draw? Draw. Good talk. It’s 236. I think that’s a bigger club. Maybe a Maybe a two-wood. 26. 250. Long way to go. Maybe drive it off the floor. Sit. Sit. Spit out. Oh, that made a funny noise. Such a good strike. Seven wood over the tree. A seven wood. A seven wood over the tree. I have done this before. That means I can do it again. No, I can’t cuz it’s a new game. It’s a new day. And that was a silly shot. and a silly club to take to that in the rough. But it’s not out of play. It’s still in play. And I’ve only now had three shots. Like that’s still in between them trees. It took it out of it, didn’t it? Bastard. Right. Three. Me third was in there. I dropped me fourth. This me fifth. That was the best I had. It’s unplayable, so I’m going to have to take a drop. Have a look at this lie. Where is it? He just got in there. I mean, if you stick a ball in the most, you know, vulnerable of places, you know, that is crazy how it’s just ended up in there. It was crazy how you found it. I mean, I must admit, absolutely insane. Don’t start your [ __ ] bro. Sherlock Holmes couldn’t have found that. He’s such a little [ __ ] Oh, really? Millm getting two points if you’re not out of the hole yet. Oh, we’re here, you [ __ ] Oh, wow. Lovely hands. Oh, wow. Right, that landed a bit soft. That did not want that. I thought it was going to run. It’s going to spin. It’s got to spin. [ __ ] Every time I hit the ball like that, it usually spins. Seeing it roll past again. Just put it the way it can No. Double. Yeah, I think you got two for the win to be honest. You might as well pick it up. Uh, no. If I If I take two, we share it cuz he’s done seven. Yeah. Seven. He’s only getting one shot on every hole. This is a rule on our channel. We do not give him two shots on the nine. Nine holes. Not doing it. And it don’t matter anyway. 19 and a half handicap. I am. He’s the start. Mate, stop begging for shots, bro. 19 and a half handicap. I am. 19 and a half handicap. These guys are single hand. Singled digit handicappers. Single digit handicap. Look at him. Wouldn’t have helped you anyway. That’s a great shot. Bit fat. Great shot. Has to go. Okay. Okay. [ __ ] I didn’t think it was going to stop then. I don’t know what this what this what was that at nine. Oh my lord. Sweet baby. Jesus. And the ovens. This is this is too much club. But I think I need the screw back. That is so short. It’s unreal. But you’re an up and downer, aren’t you? Seen it. I just hate to see it. I’m not going to lie. I was conflicted in my head of how to hit that shot and these guys were just getting into me. I didn’t want to hit a hook. You hear that sound? I was conflicted. Sure. I I can hear the blame game going on somewhere falling apart a little bit. It takes a strong man to admit when it’s happening. Short. What club was that? Just caught it fat. That’s a poor effort from us two, bro. Yeah. That’s not good. That was You know what my worst shot is? My worst shot is a hook. As soon as that just went back, that was the I was like, there’s no way this is hooking right now. What did I tell you? We can’t all chip in like you. I know, but if you just take your time instead of rushing it, you might be a little bit better. It’s okay though, cuz I’m cuz that’s going to go in the hole. It’s going to work though, isn’t it? You ever know someone to talk on the back swing so much that rolled a tear this this green’s [ __ ] rolling isn’t it? Drop it, man. Okay. Yeah, I get a shot. What a tit. That’s what I’m saying. I’m saying it’s your What a dick. Oh, you [ __ ] idiot. Forgot. I don’t hate that. Turn in, you bastard. Mate, I don’t want to talk on it anyway. Take that away. I don’t even My head’s kind of gone. Just get out of there. This is a spaceship, Rose. [ __ ] work for you, didn’t it? Right. So, you’re down. What you down? Look how big that is. Lock it. So, four for me. Four. This is me for four. Four for three. Tone. We didn’t need that tone. Well, you know, when you’re talking in the middle of your swing, you know what I mean? That’s what’s going to happen. You’re going to miss it up. Trying to line up. This game’s getting a bit nasty. Is it just me? What I’m really surprised about is how no I’m [ __ ] about to take the part and no one said anything. You you are asking me about the um the how you there’s an emotion how you can create an emotional disconnect or a psychological disconnect when you’re in that melting pot and I was talking about how five weeks before our first ever world title fight and it was everything to us and we had nothing. Yeah. Yeah. And we’re living in this remote part of northern Cyprus and uh and it had just got too much. And I remember I was sitting at the airport at 6:00 in the morning and the only thing I could think of doing was just getting away. Came back to England for 2 weeks every day. No, remember like I never had a mentor. No one ever told me how to do this. We and he and I were doing it by ourselves and we’d shunned everyone in the business just to do it our way. And uh and it and it was a really difficult moment in time. And every day I was waking up burning wondering what I was doing. Had I done the wrong thing? Flew back after 2 weeks. He’d been there by himself. And uh I got to the villa uh early in the morning, walked in and and he’s sitting there having his breakfast. Didn’t say anything. Didn’t say hello to each other. I just went into my room, unpacked my bag, went out, was getting my breakfast. You remember we’re still not speaking to each other and it was excruciating. But how do you how do you just come back? You just come back on a whim. I came back after two weeks because it would just burn me. So like I didn’t know what he was doing. I hadn’t spoken to him. Neither of us called each other. But there was that moment where he go, “Well [ __ ] you. Well, [ __ ] you and I’m gone.” It was a bit like that. They making He said uh he went, “What time’s gym?” I said, “Your choice. It’s up to you.” And he said 7:00 or whatever. He said, “Oh, okay.” So anyway, 7:00. I’m sitting in my room. He’s gone to the gym. I get there. He’s shadow boxing in the ring and he’s doing the kickstep. And I’m like, it was actually a really big moment. It’s one thing I’ll never forget. And I watched him and that was his way of saying, “I’m ready now.” Yeah. And then he didn’t say anything though because pride was kicking in and still trying to figure out this whole relationship. And then uh and then he came over and held his like glove to put his glove on. And then we had the best ever three weeks, which culminated in that incredible win. And then the next six months were the best we ever had. that culminated in him then unifying against Enzo Minelli, but trying to figure out that relationship and and and each fighter you work with, there’s always I’m not going to say that all fighters are difficult because like I said, Andy Lee and Ryan Bernett were they live with me and they took nothing out of me, but everyone’s different. Yeah. Josh Kelly’s got a big heart, but big-hearted, emotional fellas bring a different As you get older, you think you figure it out until someone presents another [ __ ] problem to you. All right, you know what that sounds like? Sounds like my golf game. It sounds like Let’s go play some more golf. It’s Adam’s tea off, bro. Is his honors? Oh, no. [ __ ] it. I can’t win. What’s the point? Jeez. But you can help. I can’t help, bro. Yeah, you can help me. It’s not about you. And that’s what happens every every time I try and hit it hard. Every time I try and hit it should have hit it like that first time. Welcome to another episode of lock and tea where Tony loses his [ __ ] Stupid game. I don’t know why I waste me time with this [ __ ] Sit down. [ __ ] that’s a long way. No, that was that was me trying to find a little fairway finder and it’s a difficult up and down from there, but it should be okay. Tactical golf night. This is someone who wants to win. All I hope all I hope for is that you don’t duff it when trying to play tactical cuz that’s the worst. You try and play the right way and golf doesn’t reward you. Pressure for tires. Wow, that’s a shot. I’ll be honest. Oh, that’s a shot. That’s getting old. That’s probably the way you’re meant to play the whole butt. Who does that on YouTube? Oh yeah. [ __ ] shit’s bouncing off greens now down the side of the ravines. Oh, got all up in my head. Oh, I did a little dance at the start of this hole now as well. Like excited that I was going to win. And that’s really going to come back and bite me on the ass. You eject. You’re going to have fun in this, aren’t they? Shot. He’s up there. How much room have I got behind that flag? He didn’t react, so I’m not happy with it. I thought I was waiting for him to go. I got a mud ball beyond belief. We have got 40 yards to the flag and I got a twoman audience waiting for me to just mess this whole shot up. But it’s not going to happen today. This is going to be on green with a 50 yard shot. We’re not just waiting for you to mess the shot up. By the way, we’re actively chucking juju at you. Oh [ __ ] All right, there’s your line. Oh, he’s should be fine. Should be fine. That’s a shot. Shot. Oh, wow. All right. I’m not going to like look I have to play like Adam’s going to put this in. Yeah. I want the birdie. I want the nail in the coffin scenario. Oh my gosh. That has to go in. Oh, that had to go in. Got the wrong side of it. What am I doing? Dropped. [Music] Dropped a lot. I need two for the win of the game. Now you you hold this your P. Oh, that’s a P. What an up and down. That was should have broken three holes too late in it. So you got this for the win. Two shots too late. You got this for the win. I think I got two shots for the win now. Oh [ __ ] Yeah. Come on. See out. Ice, [Laughter] Adam. Well done. Take that away, my friend. Oh, love that. Love that. Yep. Good game. Yep. Well done. Well done. How about that? Some golf. If you’ve enjoyed the episode, make sure you like and subscribe. Mad love to Adam Booth for joining us. Some amazing stories in there. Amazing guy and a pretty good golfer as well. Thank you for that. Yeah. Until next time. Tone, you want to finish on anything? Yes. The uh the soul is completely beaten. There’s a good chance now I could just go on the M6 and set these golf clubs on fire at the nearest services. But if these happen to survive by some miraculous thing, then I will continue with this channel and with the nonsense that is how going on it. I was not allowed to take two shots today. I was not given Oh Jesus. I am a victim of Make sure you like and subscribe. See you guys later. Bye.

  1. Fuck dida 😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I think I’ve cracked a rib, bunkers can kill a card 😅 that’s too funny

  2. Tony's too hard on himself, big powerful dude hasn't been playing long and playing with geezers who are alot better than him with more experience..needs to stop trying to keep up with them and play his own game .

  3. If you don't like the look of a bunker, mark your ball, and take a drop behind the bunker. 2 shot penalty, but chip on and putt. Just don't chip it straight back in!

  4. Tony I’m back…it’s been a while…and sadly you’ve got worse! Still waaaaaay toooo angry…
Stance too narrow in bunker, flex legs, swing around and full finish.
    You obviously don’t practice.
    Stick to Boxing and Commentary!🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  5. Tony is an angry golfer and that's the sole reason I don't play. I haven't got the money to keep replacing clubs every time I played
