Just wanted to share my retractable garage build. Since I stole countless ideas from this sub, and it was incredibly helpful. Maybe this can help someone in a similar situation as me. Living in the Michigan, and a dad of young kids, time on course is limited and I wanted a place to practice more consistently. I needed a build for my 2 stall garage that I could break down and move in cars when the sim isn’t in use. I went with the 10ft Sportscreen hand crank with Spectrum golf impact screen. I still need to figure out some ceiling protection, but it hasn’t been a major issue and I’m handy enough to repair the drywall if I get the motivation. The side curtains are just some rollers and blackout curtains from Amazon. The hitting mat is the Truebirdie Beaver tail. I repurposed an older gaming pc to run GSpro and am using an Optoma 2100HDR 1080p short throw projector. The flooring is some rubber horse stall mats from Tractor Supply.

You cant say retractable and then not post a video of the stow away process!!! Im super interested.
Im trying to do something similar now. My low budget concept is to have the screen frame on hinges to just fold to the ceiling.

here’s an image before I had the floor mats with the cars pulled in. The hitting mat is just stashed away in the corner standing against the wall
What about the ceiling?
This post resonates with me! I am a dad of a 1.5 year old in Michigan as well. Im considering dropping my membership to my home course next year. Im just low on time. I’ll have to follow this post to see what additional info you give out. This looks promising!!
