President Trump is teasing tariff “dividends” of at least $2,000 for each American–not counting “high income people.”
Posting to social media during a golf weekend in Florida while Senators work to break the shutdown impasse that has now reached its 40th day, Trump said people who are opposed to his tariffs are “fools.”
Trump argued that the U.S. was taking in “trillions” of dollars from tariffs and will soon be paying down debt of $37 trillion. He touted record investment in the U.S., with “plants and factories going up all over the place.”
