Erin got his first win over the weekend. Yeah. You know, Ben’s doing some pretty good things in Chicago. I just wondered how how closely you followed both of them this year and what it what you think it might mean for anybody else on your staff that you know in the future gets a chance to to be a head coach. Well, I don’t know what that means for that. Uh but I I did watch I didn’t watch the whole game. I just saw um I kept, you know, I watched the score. I saw the end of it. Um you know, I’m I’m keeping up with AG. we I’ll text back and forth with him. Um, you know, I mean, I’m I’m a huge fan, obviously. And, uh, so it was it was good to see. I know that was tough, man. You’re down a couple of scores and they rallied back, hung in there, and found a way to win. And it’s just to get that first one, you know, it’s a it’s a good feeling. So, um, happy for all those guys.

  1. Guys I don’t think Dan intentionally didn’t say anything about Ben. The main focus is on Aaron Glenn getting his first win. Especially as late into the season as it is, Campbell didn’t win his first game till week 11 so it’s probably hitting a little closer to him seeing one of his former coaches struggling like he did.

  2. No, he didn’t mention that he keeps up with Ben Johnson, or communicates with him at all, just Aaron Glenn. And that’s just the way I want it!

  3. If it’s petty to note that Dan Campbell said nothing about Ben Johnson…..then colour me petty.
    And yeah, screw Benedict Johnson.

  4. Why are people surprised Dan and Ben don't communicate these days? They're division rivals. It doesn't mean they're not still friends. AG is AFC. It's apples and oranges. Ben could've left 2-3 years ago. You praised him then. He's our adversary now, but that doesn't make him a man of low character and integrity.

  5. Campbell wasn’t an overnight success either. Glenn will end up doing good things for the Jets! I’m just sad he’s not on our side anymore!

  6. AG is a great guy. He’s a little hard headed though. Maybe he wants something a certain way and will stick with it no matter what happens. But it didn’t work out here. But I’m happy for him

  7. Being a Lions Fan, I was very happy for Arron Glen on his first win over there. I remember Dan Campbell's first win as head coach of the Lions, hope Arron Glen does great over there. Ben Johnson on the other hand stayed in the division so not as much love

  8. He didn’t say squat about Benedict Arnold Ben Johnson, which speak volumes on friendship and loyalty. Ben Johnson didn’t care anything about Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions.

  9. I’m ambivalent about the Ben Johnson diss. Leaving us was expected, but not to a division rival. On the other hand MCDC always says no excuses. Still, going to a division rival and playing the Lions twice a year seems disrespectful. But whatever. It is setting up for a serious rivalry.

  10. Ben Johnson means as much to Detroit as he felt about us, he left for the same job with the division rivals because of comparing and they’re not better than they were last year – yet the lions offense somehow got better… shout out to Aaron glen for getting a promotion and leaving Ben Johnson doesn’t even deserve any attention from Detroit fans he left on his own terms and said more then he needed to say. I wouldn’t have even hired someone who said while I was playing for another team I saw the division rivals and thought I’d be a good fit. Like who really hired someone after saying that?

  11. This was a good segment from both these guys and they’re spot on IMO , what McCourtney said about the Chiefs as compared to the other AFC teams was on point and to take it a step further I would make his same argument when looking at the NFC and the Lions ; it seems to me unless severe injuries get in the way we are looking at a Chiefs vs Lions Super Bowl…

  12. I'm sorry, what a stupid politically loaded question. Lions fans don't care, Jets don't care Glen don't care, Dan don't care and I bet you don't care. Media cares about a sound bite.
