My name is John Pac. I’m Taylor Dixon. And this is episode three of the Rocket Rookie Classic. Is that it? That was it. Let’s go. Today we’re doing a scramble worst ball where we have to take our worst shot. Hopefully I hit some good. I know he will. And I think we got a par4 to start. I’m just going to hit as hard as I can. What’s going to happen? I’ve never done this before, so I have no idea. Not even by myself. You never played golf before? No. Is this just straight away? It looks straight away. Yeah. Wait, where’s the wind at? I don’t have down off the right. Oh, just off the right. All righty. I’m just going to hit it hard. John, did anybody see where that went? Yeah, it’s a little right. Okay, that’s fine. I looked up and lost it. Thank you, bud. So, I hit this in the fairway. Just hit it in the fairway. We’ll go to my ball, dude. Dang that one. God, you’re so good at golf. So, wait. Who decides the worst ball? You guys or us two? I think that one’s worse than yours. That’s what I’m saying. That was so straight. How I met this cat. Oh, you don’t want to know this story. Do you remember? Where did we meet Maine? Maine. Yeah, we met Maine. So, I think I’m the only one that calls him Dicki. Yeah. And it’s because these couple drunk college kids were on the on the side screaming screaming dick. Let’s go, Dicky. And um that was pretty funny cuz I’m stuck and it’s the worst. I’ve only called you Dicky religiously. You think we can use rangefinders in this thing? Oh yeah, 100%. So, we’re definitely We’re going to pick your ball up cuz you hit it in the fairway. Never good when we got a ball search start. You’re right there. So, we’ll probably hit it the same. No, you hit it further than me. You think? Yeah. Yeah. They call you big Dicky first. You got it. Oh my god. We’re so Hey, we’re pros. We’ll make it work. Oh, see there’s a drain right here, too. Oh, there is a drain. Yep. So, we’re going to have to go back here. Point back there. I just didn’t smack a tree, so I’m pretty pumped. You got this, John. What a shot, dude. I feel like those two are I think those are pretty good. I feel like those are good. We don’t know yet, though. We’ll figure it out. I would take that in a tournament every day. Dude, I was a little nervous there. I was worried he was going to smoke a tree, guys. Right now, I’m so nervous. See, look. We’re both right there on the right. How’d it kick so hard, right? I don’t know. We’re both going right at the flag. We need our caddies here. We do. They would have told us it would have kicked right for us. We got to find a better live, dude. Do we need to switch up the mojo here? Do you want to go first? You go first. Do you want to go first? We just got to make two putts. That’s all it is. Oh my god. I hit a house. [Laughter] That was about at the cameraman back there. It looked like it went a little left, didn’t it? I’m not sure. It had too much speed. Okay. Oh, hit it. Got to tap yours in, I guess. Yeah. Wasting daylight making this guy putt those. What What else do we have? A par three as well. Yeah, par three driveable par4. 292. 292. I don’t know if I can hit it that far right now. I said that was drivable. I got 292 in the bag. You got 292 in the bag. Oh, honestly not not too upset with the bogey on that hole. Here comes a worst ball eagle. That would be crazy. That would be nuts. Hey, you know what they say, good players adjust. That’s right. Great players make it happen. Who says that? I don’t know. I That’s what I say. We’re just making it up as we go. Yeah. 281 stick. 281. That’s perfect driver. 270 covers the bunker just short. Just bomb it. Yeah. I just got to aim left and hit my nice high block. We both had some interesting routes to the PGA Tour, huh? Yeah. So, I started playing professionally in 21. I was fortunate to get a bunch of PGA Tour starts. Didn’t make any use of it. Went to the corn ferry tour in 22. Lost my status. Went all the way to Canada in 23. 24. Got my cornfairy tour status back. Won one time and then got to the PGA tour. So, I had no PJ tour starts coming out of college. did mini tours from 2015 when I turned pro up to 2020 and then was on corn ferry for four years and now we’re here on the PJ tour. I played two mini tour events. Not going to lie, those are brutal. Those are so brutal, you know. Props to you for sticking that out for five years. Yeah, man. That’s a little right. That’s all right. That That’s like right at the right edge of the green, though. Yeah, that’s fine. All right. I’m try I’m going just try to do this like big cut thing. So maybe I’ll either end up right beside you or kind of near the hole. Dude, with your setup like that, how do you even play golf? Dude, I don’t know, man. Trust me. The way when I look at it, it just looks like it’s right on the I love when people say that. It’s right on the heel, but I know it’s like out here. So honestly, John, it’s like the rest of my life. I just figure it out as I go. All right, perfect. And he does that. I mean, oh man, that could be so good. Yeah. Too bad I got to hit mine. I know. We got to go to yours. Oh, where did that end up? It was going right at the camera guy. I’m losing it. Like once it gets to the apex in these clouds. Come on, Dicky. You’re not that old. I’m getting old, dude. You got fresh eyes. You’re fine. I’m 32. I feel like a fossil out here. Especially on cornfore. I was a dinosaur. No. You remember that? Was a dinosaur. No. Average age was 32. But the top 30 was 28. So, was it really? All right. So, it’s a dinosaur in the top 30. Hey, we’re on the PJ tour now, so we’re good. Yeah, exactly. We get to play golf every day if we so choose. It’s not a bad life. All right, be a little better on the chipping here, though. Honestly, I think the downhill slider is way harder. That was actually a sick driver. That was Dude, look at that. Landed right on the edge. What do you got? 58 or 54. I got my 60. I just kind of back foot it just a hair. Go, go. All right, we got one chance. Probably just leave it. That was a good shot. All right. You want to putt first? You want me to put first? I don’t want the pressure on me if I make I’ll take it. Left center is That’s what I was seeing. I don’t think it’s outside of the hole at all. Hold on. Let me do my aim point. Yeah. Yep. Dear deal. Just kidding. I don’t do aim point. Oh, what a putt. All right. Honestly, I was thinking the pressure is on the first one, but now it’s on me because, you know, if you missed, it didn’t matter what I did. But now if I miss No, we we don’t think about those things. Pressure makes diamonds. Let’s go. I told you that bogey wouldn’t hurt us. That was a good bogey, honestly. Especially for worse ball. How far is this next hole? I don’t know. So, y’all got us like a 240 yard par three or what? 180. Okay. Ah, this is it, Dicki. We got that. Come on, John. Like, you know, you were saying the second one was more pressure, but I was watching you put the first one. I’m like, well, if he misses this, it doesn’t matter what I do. So, they’re both pressure. I guess you’re right. I think Let’s go, dude. Good start. Well, not a good start, but good comeback. Good comeback, dude. Dicky, you live for the camera. I love this. I live for it, man. Yeah, we take those. I wish we I really wish we could take that one. That was such a good shot. You guys couldn’t make it more fun to see birdies and eagles and make it a best spot or Hey, we did make a birdie. You know what the worst feeling is when you play around without making a birdie? Yeah, you get shot out. Classic ball shot out. The the At what point do you start thinking about it? Probably like 13. 13, I was going to say. Yeah, I’m usually right around 13 or 14. You want me to go first? Yeah. Yeah. Give me a feel for the green. Give you a feel for a little speed. I don’t know if you saw that one putt I hit. I saw it. I mean, we were going up like a ski slope though. Yeah. A double make would be crazy. A double make right here would be insane. Oh my god. We practice these all the time, but do you? No. Usually I’m like, I should be able to make this. Yeah. I don’t think I’ve ever practiced putt this short. I just, you know, smack it in. Yeah. Just just just knock it in the hole. Yep. Dead center. All righty. Let’s go. What a putt. Come on. Come on. Nice. Never a doubt. Never a doubt. In the lead. There was a lot of doubt after that came off the face. That was a gold glove save by the third baseman from two feet. So So clubhouse leader, huh? Clubhouse leader. I think we did all we could, you know. I mean, it was a great bogey on one. Yeah. Good birdie on two, good par on three. So I mean, pretty good for worst ball. Beat two teams. So I think we’re going to take beat the other guy, so we’re we’re already good.
