LEGITIMATELY CLAIM TO HAVE ALL THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD. I WANT TO GO BACK TO SOMETHING TIGER SAID YESTERDAY TALKING ABOUT HOW HE IS BULLISH ON A DEAL. THERE WILL BE A HEALING PROCESS MOVING FORWARD AND HE SAYS FANS WANT TO SEE THE BEST PLAYERS PLAY TOGETHER WHICH IS TRUE, BUT I AM CURIOUS IF YOU THINK DECISION-MAKERS AND GOLF ARE MOVING PAST THE GRAVEYARD BECAUSE THEY KEEP SAYING THAT AND IS IT TRUE BUT THAT, IS IT ENOUGH? THE KIND OF FANS WE HAVE SEEN OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS WITH THE DIVISION WITH MONEY WITH OTHER ASPECTS OF THE PRODUCT, THEY ARE NOT HAPPY, BUT WILL IT BE AS EASY AS SAYING NOW PGA TOUR AND LIV GUYS WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN AND LET’S SKIP DOWN THE ROAD HAPPILY? >> I THINK IT’S GOING TO BE DIFFICULT. "Fans want to see all the best players playing together" without qualifying that LIV is literally Rahm, Hatton, Smith, DeChambeau, and Koepka. That's it for LIV players that move the needle in the U.S. which is where the PGA TOUR is.
We consume the product differently. We r not going to sit for four hours for a non major when we can just watch highlights on YouTube.

Shout Out to BabyFace for a Wonderful Valentine's Tour at the Palms Casino and Hotel over the weekend.. I mean what's better then Cocktails at the Hotel pool whilst waiting for the concert? I should mention that even I on that day, wouldn't want to see "Rory" winning the Genesis or even watch LIV players on the PGA tour golfing greens..
When the history of the PGA Tour is written, Jay Monahan will be remembered as the absolute worst commissioner at the absolute worst time. Fans are gone forever.
Jim is right. the merger will be ugly, no matter what. also, some LIV players will never want to come back, due to "issues" with PGA tour. it is almost never 3 million things that makes someone leave, however it is almost always more than just 1 thing. fans will always pick hero's and villains, so that will just be the way it is. but there should probably be 2 tours, still, with a half dozen (regular season) overlap either way, where LIV can play their favorite PGA tour courses, and PGA players can go play LIV for some high dollar stakes. just my way of seeing it.
It's always the money. Always will be. Never about the fans. No one cares about the fans. Just care about the money. The PGA is a business. No one plays for the love of the game.
Fan engagement is a huge issue. There are no personalities on the PGA Tour any more. Guys make a great shot, and at best you get a smirk out of them. Very few of them look they're having fun any more.
There is no Lee Trevino, or Lanny Wadkins, or John Daly or Chi Chi out there. Tiger was not only a great golfer, but he was as excited about a great shot as the fans.
who cares about the sponsors. Think about the broadcast! It is boring to watch on TV. It is not interesting or exciting. I stopped watching the PGA tour cause there was more time seeing the leaderboard and hearing the wind and now all I watch is LIV. It is exciting to watch their broadcast – its interactive, interesting and non stop action of golf.
I don't miss any LIV players.
Why isn't anyone talking about the availability of "on demand" option to watch PGA tournaments on line, instead of having to watch PGA tournaments on networks such as NBC or CBS, where we fans have to tune in on a certain date and time in order to watch our favorite tournaments and players. I'm sick and tired of having to do that in today's day and age. We should be able to watch the tournaments when ever we want to, just like everything else on line… Until then I continue to watch LIV online, simply because of the "On Demand" access…
