Shane Lowry may be a world champion golfer, but he isn’t the only sports star in his family! The Offaly man is a proud girl dad to his two daughters, Iris and Ivy, and the ladies are also fierce sportspeople.
The star’s wife Wendy gave fans a glimpse into their eldest daughter Iris’ talents on Sunday as she played in goal during her soccer final match.
The proud mum shared snaps of her daughter as she stood in goal in a blue jersey. As supportive as ever, Wendy stood on the sidelines watching her play, just like she does when Shane competes in world-class tournaments.

Wendy joked that she was just as nervous watching her daughter play in the final as she was when Shane competed in the Ryder Cup in September, which saw Team Europe take home the gold.
‘Don’t know what is more nerve-wrecking, Sunday of the Ryder Cup or watching Iris as goalie in the final,’ Wendy joked online, before posing with her little girl and her trophies.

‘So proud of Iris and her team winning the league,’ she penned, as the young girl proudly held two royal blue trophies up. Iris’ sporting abilities will come as no surprise to golf fans, who saw her in action earlier this year.
She managed to make some impressive shots at the Masters in April. One cute moment shows Shane telling Iris to ‘straighten’ up her angle and tap the ball ‘harder.’

As the ball finds the hole, his absolute pride is evident in his voice, and he runs over to her for a cuddle. The crowd erupted into applause.
It’s also fair to say that Iris was pretty happy with the shot and jumped into the air in delight! We might just have a future golf pro on our hands.
