It’s the first Tiger Woods-designed course to host a PGA TOUR event, as a collection of the best golfers in the world return for the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas. This is the time of year when there will be plenty of eyes on both the top of the leaderboard and the FedExCup standings, being the third-to-last event in the FedExCup Fall. U.S Open champion J.J. Spaun and two-time 2025 TOUR winner Ben Griffin are set to tee it up at the World Wide Technology Championship. Spaun has never missed the cut at this championship and finished T30 last year, while Griffin has had back-to-back top 25s. Joining them is Michael Brennan, who is looking for his magical 2025 to continue. Brennan parlayed a sponsor invite at the Bank of Utah Championship into a win – accepting PGA TOUR membership in the process and bypassing the Korn Ferry Tour entirely.

Nine under par. Matty Schmid tied on the low round of the day so far. Gordon second to the 17th. This could have a big impact on that cut line. The way he finishes. Oh, that was a moment ago and he hoops it. This cut line you speak of, Johnson. He’s inside it. He had a triple. had fallen well outside the cut line and responds with a birdie and then an eagle 17. I love holding shots is great, but it’s so much better when you fly it in there right on the fly. Slam dunk and when you’re fighting to make a cut. Oh yeah. Second place at the moment for Perez. Garrick Higgo at 17. Yeah, it’s very user friendly golf course, that’s for sure. No wind right there. Higo going right after that flag stick on 17. Dunlap already at 13 under par and he had more in store on the 12th. One of the most intimidating short iron shots on this golf course. There’s a massive false front. He just three quarters a wedge in there with perfect spin. You have the amiter Weaver right around that cut line and that’ll play at Makova moved here in 2023 to El Cardonal on the 17th. Carson Young, this is his first nine holes in the second round. Has hit every green so far. That eight for eight in there tight. Par 316 Jackson Suber who’s T15 his last start at the Bank of Utah Championship projected outside the top 100 in the FedEx standings. Oh, we’re going to see a lot of this today. George using that back stop location on the middle tier. It’s going to be a great chance for to see a hole in one today in the 17th fairway. Second shot for David Skins at three under par. see his projection for her 47th and missed it. Couple cuts in a row coming into this week. There’s an example. We just saw Carson Young play it more on the 12th. Mason Anderson sitting at seven under. Well, he wasn’t messing with that false front. Anderson gets that one to go. up and over here and then it should come around to the pin. Bit like that really. Hello. Well, now campaign in 20 2025 for Ben Griffin. Chad Remy on the eighth hole to get to 12 under par. It’s now within four where the lead is behind Dunlap. Play JJ Spawn type golf. Lots of fairways, lots of greens. make a putt or two with that new putter and um en enjoy the fact that you have some great pairings, some great tea times. This is a tough read because it looks like it’s a little bit back uphill, but it’s downhill putting back toward the Pacific Ocean, sneaks it in. And that looks like five all the way there, Johnson, after that T-OT. That’s got to feel like a birdie. Billy Ray. Let’s cross to the 11th. Uphill birdie putt for Will Gordon. Gets that one to go. Putter I got was a model of my gamer and so I would switch to it if if one looked really nice and new and didn’t have any nicks on it. But no, I didn’t I didn’t switch putters very often. the highline for Taylor Moore’s Eagle putt. Maybe three times my whole PJ tour career. Bottoms it out. Finally get that second eagle of the day on 18. All the winners this season and what they’ve used, it’s so different than how it looked 5, 10, 15 years ago on the PGA tour. Nick Taylor, you bet. Backto back birdies on nine and 10. He’s at even par for the week. And obviously you wouldn’t be teeing off 10 on Sunday, but making a five on a par five when it’s this close as Hustler pours that in for another birdie. It would be kind of a wind in the sails moment for Mattie Schmidt. This is definite birdie opportunity. Green light. Line a little bit deep. It needs to rip. It does. That’ll get a roar of applause. You decided to let something out. Remy on the 12th. Locked in with his irons today. Speaking of par threes, Patrick Rogers par three ninth. Oh, he’s taking that flag on. George right at it. Two under on the round today. Going about his business just fine. Back nine’s been playing a little bit easier. Okay, thank you. Game came on for JJ Spawn. The only way to really get close to this hole is to use that slope right of it. But he was kind of in between clubs. So I think the smart play would be to towards the middle of the green. But this is drifting right and that’s going to miss the green right. Oh, we’ve seen just how brutal that is up there. This may get lucky. Oh, baby. Go in. Be as good as you look. Go in. I think it’s like a butt. At this point, he’s got to take on this whole location. Have to scare that false front a little bit to get it close. He must have heard you. Griffin, that is true. But that was the only time in 10 years, guys. This right at the flag stick. Wow. What a shot. As soon as Graham hit his T-shot off of one on the north course at Tory Pines, it was into the win and I saw it spin up in the air. First, let’s check in with Canada’s Adam Hadwin. His second shot at the 12th. Yeah, it’s just a wedge for these players. This was just a moment ago. I guess it’s good. I guess it’s very good. Also just coming to the turn here. The gloveless Trevor Conn made his swing of the day. Gone. What a shot. Had half a look as it just dribbled past the cup, but in the fall when he’s been just scraping at the end of the year to finish 125. He’s put together some of his top finishes to T3s here or there. Chris Ventura at 17 nearly holds it. Look at that right trigger finger. Long way down the shot. Trying to punch draw this one in here. And that’s exactly what he did. What a cracking shot. Molenax needs birdie birdie eagle to make sure. Oh, that’s a sporty line. That’s pretty direct. Oh, good shot. Come on. Go on. Work it. Excellent. Really excellent. Just anything just a fraction right of it. Yeah, it’s going to spin left right at it. Perfect. That’s why Ricky Castillo on the ninth needs to hole it to have any chance. Oh, that had to look so good. Nine iron 155 place up seven is a scary shot. William Mau just hit one left into the penalty area. You never like to see this. This one drifting right. Oh, baby. If that catches a slope, that could be good, guys. That’s going to be real good. On the other side of the hole. Perfect. And it’s even rare that you’re not winning when you do that. Well, let’s hold our breath. Rosen Mueller. He’s got a nice little action there. Nice turn with the shoulders. Gets that club a little bit uh I don’t want to say laid off.
