Markwayne Mullin, a U.S. senator from Oklahoma, posted on X that he was working with President Donald Trump “through the weekend, ” prompting PatriotTakes, a Political Action Committee (PAC), to tweet that the President “was at his golf club in Palm Beach when this was posted.”
Users on X were quick to chime in.

The president lashed out at Democrats in a social media post at the same time as his motorcade carried him to his golf course.
President Trump has been encouraging Republicans in the Senate to end the ongoing government shutdown, the longest in history, by nuking the filibuster.
“The Democrats are winning in that they are destroying our great, miracle economy, which is exactly what they set out to do. TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

The president’s golf outing came hours after the Supreme Court granted a temporary stay of a lower court ruling that ordered the Trump administration to pay recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) their full benefits.
As Republicans and Democrats continue their battle for the upper hand in the federal government shutdown, Trump has urged senators to end the chamber’s longstanding practice of requiring 60 votes to proceed to final consideration of legislation.
The 60-vote threshold limits the Republicans from relying on their own senators to pass legislation to fund the government, they also need to secure backing from seven or more Democrats.
At the same time, the FAA has said airlines will be required to cancel six percent of domestic flights on Tuesday, eight percent on Thursday, and 10 percent beginning Friday, Nov 14.
