What was it about Matt Jones that made you want to target him as a second? Um, you know, going back to college, like we we obviously studied Matt coming out and we thought very highly of him and his skill set as a thrower. Um, and the things he did in college and then obviously as a rookie, what he did in the NFL was very impressive. Um, Mac’s a Mac’s a really good thrower. He stands in the pocket. He’s a strong guy. Uh, and he’s really smart. And so, he’s got a lot of traits that we like uh for a starting quarterback. And you know, his career is kind of he’s kind of gone up and down a little bit the past couple years, but we saw the same things in Jacksonville that we loved about him as a college prospect, and that really excites us. Um, and he’s doing a great job. And you know, I think Mac’s capable of being a starter in this league.

I think Kyle and Compsny want Mac Jones as the starter over Purdy. I wouldnt be suprised if thwy ask Brock Purdy to restructure his contract next year. Mac Jones is Kyle Shanahans guy. Kyle wanted to draft Mac Jones, Lynch wanted to jump up and draft Trey Lance. This is a FU to Lynchs idea and Mac Should of been the origional pick. Mac Jones is the starter, Brick Purdy is the highest paid back up.
