Charlie Woods has wrapped up a significant year in his junior golf career with a major honor – a spot on the prestigious 2025 Rolex Junior All-America First Team, an accolade reserved for the country’s top young players, including his father 35 years ago.
This marks Woods’ first time securing a place on the First Team, joining an exclusive roster of 24 standout juniors recognized for their exceptional performance throughout the year. Hailing from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and part of the class of 2027, the 16 year old is making waves in his early career, and climbed to No.9 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings after amassing 280.291 points across six tournaments.
His breakthrough moment arrived in May at the Team TaylorMade Invitational, where he clinched his first AJGA victory with scores of 70, 65, and 66 – adding 225 points to his season total, significantly contributing to his latest career achievement.

Woods also secured a T9 finish at the Boys Junior PGA Championship in July, as well as acclimating to the Junior PLAYERS Championship and the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.
Over the past year, the young Woods has experienced rapid growth spurts. He is now believed to stand at 6 ft 1 in, and golf legend John Daly advised Woods’ father to nurture him, predicting he would be a fantastic player in the future.
However, the swift growth led Charlie to gain more weight than he desired, and he shed 10 pounds, according to his high school coach, Toby Harbeck.
“Charlie knows a lot of the attention is going to be on him and he knows not to put himself in an uncomfortable position, but his teammates are protective of him,” the Benjamin Buccaneers coach told the Palm Beach Post in August.

“Charlie has come a long way in two years. He’s lost 10 pounds and is ready to take on that No. 1 role.”
The teenage Woods also happens to attend classes alongside another teen who shares family ties with an American cultural figure.
Charlie is presently a junior at a prestigious Palm Beach private school with yearly fees of approximately $37,000 – the identical institution where Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is finishing her final year.

Earlier this year, Charlie’s father grabbed attention when he publicly revealed his romance with Vanessa, the ex-spouse of Donald Trump Jr.
The 15-time major winner is regularly spotted supporting his son at youth competitions, often accompanied by his former spouse, Elin.
As the younger Woods’ athletic journey gains momentum, his father, Tiger, faces uncertainty.
The 49 year old had surgery for an Achilles problem earlier this year and subsequently experienced another complication requiring additional back surgery.
