Beautiful course but altitude messed me all up. Had to adjust by a club or two on iron shots.

I’ve played keystone river course, used to own a condo at keystone. It’s a really nice course. For some reason I never played the ranch course.
From what I recall, driving range was unlimited balls for maybe $15 or $20. Sometimes when I was at our condo alone for a long time in thr summer I’d go there and hit for an hour around 11am. Come back to the condo, work some more and then at 3pm I’d go back and hit again.

Jug Mountain, Idaho. According to my Garmin watch, around 8500ft was the peak
I play pretty much all my golf at sea-level but last year I played a course in Alberta at about 4300 feet. Luckily I played it 3 consecutive days so figured it out by the end but man, did I ever airmail some greens in the first round.

10,200 – Leadville CO has the highest course in north America according to the pro shop. It was awesome to watch the 2 iron soar

I play all the time around 6000’, but that’s about it.

Whatever the elevation is at the summit course at cordillera
GetInTheHole
Either that one at Keystone, or Beaver Creek Golf Club. Whichever is higher I guess. Grand Lake might be up there as well.
I’ve played Sonnenalp by Vail and Red Sky Ranch as well, but I think those are a bit lower.

Angel Fire NM at 8,300′. I stubbornly decided to walk the course and was cooked on a few holes.
10,000 feet – Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijang China. The course is 8500 yds due to the length of the ball flight that high up. The rental clubs were mostly fake Nike. In addition to the tip, we gave the caddies all of our leftover balls/tees/gloves and they were way more excited for that than the money.

Showlow Arizona isn’t so low at 6200 foot course.

Estes Park, Co about 7500 ft about one month ago…didn’t really notice the elevation increase in yardage. The two guys I played were headed to Keystone the next day. It is definitely on my bucket list.

I played a course in Colorado at 8300ft. I was using fairly new loner clubs from the course instead of my normal 25 year old junk clubs. It felt awesome hitting a “9 iron” like 200 yards.
EndPractical653
Played the Copper Mnt course. They boast they have the highest elevated tee in the country at around 10k I think, but the course isn’t great.

Denver. I hit a 7 iron 200 yards on the first hole approach shot and decided I was just going to hit my pitching wedge for the rest of the day

I’m pretty high every time I play with my buddy Craig. He’s a drug dealer
I wonder how many posts won’t even mention elevation

3500 and I can’t even imagine what 9000 would be like – I gained like 50 yards on drives at 3500
Have played Bear Mountain Golf Course in Big Bear Lake, California couple times. approximately 7000 ft.
Nothing remarkable height wise, but Bermuda is virtually sea level!

I did some putting on a flight, because I could.

Played one near Los Alamos, NM that was about 7,400 feet. We found about a club difference.
Sierra Star at Mammoth Mountain, 8k
6500’ at Big Sky. Noticed about a club difference on distance
Probably the nine hole course in Cloudcroft, NM at around 8,600 ft.
Played most of my rounds at Fox Acres in Red Feather Lakes, CO this summer at 8300 ft.
No fear trying to carry the ponds out there.
Hitting about 1 club less than the front range and about 2 less than out in the midwest.
Close to 7,000 FT at Castle Pines

Over 10k above see level. Shot a 38 and played poorly. It’s pretty wide open and easy.
