As the rumors swirl about who will be joining which league in the golf world, one player, Min Woo Lee, has made it very clear what he plans to do. Lee, the 27-year-old, has enjoyed his time on the PGA Tour so far, as he saw his first victory come at the Houston Open in March.

Lee also saw a tie for 13th at the Rocket Classic and earned himself a top-10 in Japan last month. His next best finish since the Houston Open was 49th place, when he had a chance to earn a green jacket just two weeks after his victory.

But after a drastic LIV Golf format change, which Rory McIlroy was quick to react to, Lee has made a final decision on his future and decided he will remain on the PGA Tour despite links with the lucrative Saudi-backed league.

“There’s been a lot of rumors. I’m not going and am just going to play on the PGA Tour,” said Lee. “I’m happy with where I’m at and I’m looking forward to next year.”

Speaking after the Masters, Lee outlined the importance of continuing to develop his game. We now know that will take place on the PGA Tour.

“It is tough because it’s a major, and you don’t get to experience it that much. Hopefully you just keep learning from these experiences,” said Lee after the the Masters. “Obviously there’s the one percenters that are automatically really good on the weekend or get themselves in contention a lot.

“But I’m still learning. I feel like I’m still young and I still have years ahead of me, and all I can do is learn. Hopefully I can feed off this.”

Lee, speaking after the season, also mentioned that he just needed to get a few things together.

“It was great to have the win, but it’s tough because there’s not much time to actually regroup and think about it,” said Lee.

“You’re on a high and two weeks later it’s the Masters and all the Signature Events started coming up. I felt like it went quick. The win was amazing, but the other part of the year was pretty average.

“So that was something I had to work on.”

Lee then went on to miss a few cuts, including at the PGA Championship, US Open and The Open, which is apart of the reason he insists on staying in the PGA Tour.

He has dropped to 46th in the Official World Golf Ranking, and he will need to stay inside the top-50 to earn himself another trip to the Masters.

“I’ve just got to play good golf in the Aussie summer and hopefully I can lock it up,” Lee, who also won the Australian PGA Championship in 2023, explained. “I never want to miss a major, the Masters especially. It’s one of the biggest tournaments in the world, so I’ll do whatever I can to get in.”
