I know that I make it sound like large companies never touched paintball, but I know that’s not true. Case in point, I hauled ou tof storage an old pair of VANS paintball cleats.
They’re more “boots” than cleats, so I call ’em boots. They were marketed direct from Warped Sports, and ran about $80 – $100 as I recall it. They were really the only shoe marketed directly at paintball outside of the “Diggers” cleats that were around at the same time. Well Mantis did one too, and there’s a golf show out there now, but you get the idea.
They never really took off, but I still have my pair of battle worn clod-hoppers. They’re really heavy for paintball in arenas, but they’re not bad boots.
