Home Golf Simulator Projector Hidden Secret! It’s So Easy to Setup!

Today I want to share with you guys what can be a hidden secret for your golf simulator projector. So most people when they walk into their home golf simulator, first thing you do, you grab the projector remote and you have to, you know, reach up and, you know, kind of aim it at it and try to get it to turn on. Um, it can be a little bit of an inconvenience in my opinion versus just having to press a key to wake up your computer and have that projector turn on automatically. So, what a lot of people don’t know is if I go into this menu, and I’ll actually kind of walk up for you so you can see this under system. Um, it might be under setup on on some different models, but most different manufacturers and models are going to have this. Um, it’s not going to be under power management. In this case, on a BenQ, it’s going to be under operation settings. So, you see where it says power on and off settings. So you can go in here and you could either have direct power on, signal power on, and auto power off. So in this case, I’m going to start by taking the signal power and I’m going to have my HDMI source, which comes from my computer, turned to on. So you can see it’s initially set to off when you get these units. I’m going to turn that to on. And now when that computer I wake up or turn on and it sees the signal from the HDMI, it’s going to automatically turn the projector on. I no longer have to grab my my remote and do anything. Next thing you probably want to do is if you don’t want to turn the projector off when it doesn’t see signal, you can change your auto power off setting. So change that to um you know as low as 3 minutes. And in this case, honestly, I feel like that’s probably enough. Um, because at that point in time, you’d probably be, you know, shutting it down. I doubt it’s doing any type of, you know, update where it it’s not going to have a signal. So, and it can always turn itself back on after that. So, I hope this was a great tip for you guys.
