Aiea, HI. – In their final event of the fall schedule, the Augusta men’s golf team went low and finished third at the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational in Hawaii. After a solid finish in round two earlier in the day, the Jaguars shot 9-under-par in the final round to finish at 7-under-par for the event. The team score was the second best on the day. West Virginia won the team event with UC San Diego finishing three shots ahead of the Jags. Stefan Jacobs was 5-under-par in round three and finished in third place.

Jacobs got off to a quick start with a birdie on his first hole of the day. He would add six more before signing his scorecard for a 5-under-par 67. On two different occassions he rolled home back-to-back birdies that highlighted his day.
Pieter Rossouw Jr. also had a stellar round with a 4-under-par 68. Like Jacobs, Rossouw birdied his first hole of the day. He also made an eagle and six other birdies to move up 19 spots on the individual leaderboard to finish in 14th.
Josh Daniels finished strong as well with an even-par 72 on Thursday. Daniels had three birdies on each nine and would finish in 17th place.
Bo Blanchard II had the final team counting score with a 1-over-par 73. Blanchard had three birdies and four bogeys during his round.
Behn Heyns had the non-counting team score with a 74.
The Jaguars will now be off until early February when they compete in the Battle at Briar’s Creek, hosted by the College of Charleston.
