Charlie Woods now shares one honor with his famous father, Tiger Woods, after he received a major junior golf nod this week.
Charlie, 16, whom the 15-time major winner shares with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, was named as a first-team All-American by the American Junior Golf Association on Wednesday.
The high school junior at the prestigious Benjamin School was among 12 boys named to the first team of the AJGA’s annual list.
The honor rounds off an impressive year for Charlie, who won his first big title at the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May.
Charlie also qualified for the US Junior Amateur for a second straight year in July and finished tied-ninth at the Junior PGA the following month.
With the award, the rising golfer continues to emulate his legendary dad. Tiger made the team in all four years of high school before graduating.

The 49-year-old was also named back-to-back Player of the Year in 1991 and 1992, a feat that Miles Russell matched this year.
Russell, the 17-year-old who was an alternate at the Walker Cup this summer, was selected player of the year for the second time by the American Junior Golf Association this week.
Meanwhile, the son of another famous golfer made the AJGA second team. Cameron Kuchar, the son of Matt Kuchar, who plans to attend TCU, joined Mason Howell, who won the US Amateur and played in the Walker Cup, among those to get the nod for the second team.
Aphrodite Deng, the Canadian living in New Jersey, was player of the year in the girls’ division. Deng won the US Girls Junior this year, along with two big AJGA events.
The teams were determined exclusively through the Rolex AJGA Rankings as of October 14.
This year has seen Charlie grind away both on and off the course and his high school coach, Toby Harbeck, previously shed light on Charlie’s hard work, which included a drastic 10-pound weight loss.
‘Charlie knows a lot of the attention is going to be on him and he knows not to put himself in an uncomfortable position, but his teammates are protective of him,’ the Benjamin Buccaneers coach told the Palm Beach Post in August.
‘Charlie has come a long way in two years. He’s lost 10 pounds and is ready to take on that No. 1 role.’

Charlie is in his junior year at the exclusive $37k-a-year high school in Palm Beach, where Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is also a senior.
Charlie’s father went public with his romance with Kai’s mom Vanessa, the ex-wide of Donald Trump Jr., earlier this year.
The 15-time major winner has frequently been spotted supporting his son at tournaments alongside his ex-wife Elin.
Harbeck, who has also coached Jack Nicklaus’ sons Gary and Michael, added: ‘When Tiger and Elin show up to watch, Tiger is a different person than what you see on TV. Just like Jack [Nicklaus] was.’
