Charlie Woods, the son of “Golf Emperor” Tiger Woods of the U.S., has been included in the U.S. Junior Golf Association (AJGA) list of the year’s first team.
AJGA announced on the 6th (Korea Standard Time) that 12 prospects who have performed well this year were selected as the first team. Charlie, who reached the top of the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May and tied for ninth place in the Voice Junior PGA Championship, was proudly listed. Charlie, born in 2009, attends Benjamin School in Florida, United States.
Charlie, who scored 280.291 points in six competitions this year, ranks ninth in the Rolex AJGA rankings. His father Woods, who won 82 games in the PGA Tour alone, was named the AJGA Player of the Year in 1991 and 1992.
The AJGA Men’s Player of the Year Award was awarded to Miles Russell of the U.S. The women’s player award went to Aphrodite Deng of Canada.
