How far can a 20 handicapper hit all his clubs? And how does that compare to a scratch golfer? This is day 32 of 24 handicap to scratch golfer in one year. Now, this is no easy challenge, but after 32 days of posting and training every single day, I’m hoping you’re starting to see some improvement in my golf. But for today’s session, I thought I’d come here to the beautiful sites course to show you my distances. I just paid €43 to hit balls at this driving range. So, I’ll show you the distances for each of my clubs and then also the average for a scratch golfer for that club next to it. So, with a 56°ree, we’re getting an average 84 yards. Then with a 52°ree, we’re getting 93 yards. With a pitching wedge, we’ve got 121 yards. And then with a 9 iron, this is really surprising, even less than the pitching wedge with 120 yards. With an 8 iron, thankfully, we’re back up again. So, that’s 135 yds. With a 7 iron, I’m getting 142. With a 6 iron, we’re getting 160 yards. 5 iron, 171 yards. I just got a notification that if I make another outbound shot, as in if I hook it or slice it, I’m going to get kicked off the golf course or kicked off the driving range. So, it’s adding a lot of pressure. For hybrid, we’re getting 175 yds. Fivewood, 197 yd. And then with the driver, 28 yds.

First like first comment now you have to listen to my request
Driving distance correlates with handicap more than any other single factor. If you are going to get to scratch, you will need to pick up more distance. Speed training and workouts (core strength and flexibility) are going to be key.
Bro hit the gym and increase those numbers. 10 handicap and D290 3W260 5Hybrid 220 5IR210 6IR195 7IR185 8IR170 9IR160 PW148 50W 122 54W 110 58W 70 Putter 175
Fuck that driving range man. Don’t give em another penny
50 handicap and I hit my 60 degree 90 yd 56 110 yd 50 125yd pw 145yd 9iron 150-155yd 8 iron 160yd 7iron 170yd 6 iron 180 5 iron 190 4 hybrid 210 3w 220 and driver is about 250
Get a 3 wood
Surprisingly the distance is not too different until you get to the higher clubs but accuracy will be key
Im 13, 27 handicap, and all my clubs are shorter than him except for my driver, which goes 10-20 meters further than my 4 hybrid
I would be kicked off in 10 mins
Like me
In Sitges, shafts and balls are used differently
11 Hcp here, i'm roughly 10 yds longer with every club, apart from the driver. Thats about 250. Just for reference on your way down 🙂
I admire the hustle mate. To be honest distance does not matter unless you can't reach the green in regulation which on long par 4s and par 5 will be tough for you. Your never going to be a long hitter unless you seriously bulk up and speed train so just focus on accuracy and short game. I can hit a long way but putting is terrible a d destroys my handicap
Kind of weird, I'm a 20 handicap and I'm longer and shorter with some clubs.
Lol you've got Buckley's
Your swing is very solid as a start, work on that club path on the takeaway and you'll unlock way more distance due to the body mechanics working more efficiently.
I like the content but if you wanna be a scratch golfer pls get a proper head cover for your driver
This is more of an observation (as I have had a similar issue). It looks like your weight (centre of gravity) is shifting to your toes on your back swing. You can see this clearly if you watch your head movement compared to the background (could be partly the camera angle also). The challenge is that in the downswing you need to compensate the weight shift back. Balance throughout the swing is super important for consistent striking.
I think this is actually something you can fairly easily practice by your own by doing practice swings and feeling where your weight is between toel and heel. There could be different fixes for the problem where a Pro can help you. Good Luck on your Journey!
You're not getting to scratch in a year. in fact you probably will never get to scratch with that swing
I like that driver head cover
distances for normal ppl pls (metric system)
Name of the place?? Ill make sure they don’t make a dime out of me.
You're not hitting anything out of bounds with those distances mate.
Get some leg power of the ground. Marco Penge wrist hinge snd wrist release through impact. My advice Min Woo Lee and Marco Penge
Get fittet. The Shaft ist Not the right one for you.
A driving range is a place average golfers come to learn. Never give that golf club another penny. I would have walked out there and then. Who do they think they are
Who pays 50 bucks to hit range balls. I pay 13 for a large bucket and a launch monitor for free
Those yardages mean nothing if they’re going OB on a range lol
I’m a 6 handicap and you hit it further than me😅
I'm definitely nowhere near a scratch golfer, I'm terrible, but I can hit all my clubs further than a scratch golfer, I just can't hit them straight consistently
24 to scratch in one year is just plain impossible. I mean I love the fire, and I wish you to get to scratch but it might be more like a 5 year Plan 😊
Ps: you need a Club inbetween 52 and Pw if you have a "gap"(See what I did there 😊) of 40 yard there
Despite what the PGA tell you, how far you hit the ball (when you hit the ball well) has nothing to do with your handicap.
I used to play with a guy who was 90 and still carrying a 24 handicap, playing off the red tees. He hit the ball 160 yards maximum.
I also know several 18 handicappers that can drive the ball 300 yards easy.
Yay! I'm scratch! Oh hang on…. no I'm not!😂😂😂
Not sure where you get your scratch distances but they are really short.
43 euros and you can’t lose a ball 😂
That’s $86 Aussie dollars to hit balls, at that rate I’d be bankrupt before reaching scratch 😂
I wouldn't worry about distance, try and work on consistent yardage and accuracy. Master the lob wedge and putter and you'll be down to 15 in no time
I'm a 9 hc, I'm getting scratch numbers, I still hit it out of bounds
The one thing I see in your swing is 1st your need to scoot back in your stance and your head moves too much thoughout your swing.
