Caitlin Clark will be giving Indiana Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham a crash course in golf lexicon when they meet up at The Annika Pro-Am next week.
Cunningham and fellow Fever guard Lexie Hull will be celebrity guest caddies on Nov. 12 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. She celebrated the news in an Instagram Story, writing “FOUR!!!!!!”
Clark pointed out the obvious error:
The 2024 Rookie of the Year will be taking part in the Annika Pro-Am for the second successive fall. During her first go-round, she played the front nine with two-time major winner Nelly Korda and the back nine with golf legend Annika Sörenstam, the event’s namesake.
As Clark learned herself at one point, the language of golf is vast and sometimes unconventional. Cunningham is about to discover that, and she better have a pen and paper handy when she approaches the first tee.
