Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods has been named a first-team All American by the American Junior Golf Association, following in the footsteps of his famous father.

The 16-year-old golfing prospect is a junior at The Benjamin School in South Florida and was named as one of 12 boys in the 2025 list. His father, Tiger, was also named to the team in his youth and was crowned AJGA Player of the Year in both 1991 and 1992.

This time around the Player of the Year was given to 17-year-old Miles Russell, who wins the award for a second time. Russell also served as an alternate for the Walker Cup earlier this year.

Despite his young age, Charlie Woods has already racked up appearances in some illustrious competitions. In 2020 he played alongside his father at the PNC Championship at the age of 11, becoming the youngest player in the tournament’s history.

In 2023 Woods Jr managed an eight-stroke victory at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Major Championship in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He entered his first PGA Tour pre-qualifying tournament in February 2024 and placed ninth in the 2025 Junior PGA Championship.

Woods is not the only famous son to be named in the AJGA teams for 2025. Cameron Kuchar, son of PGA Tour golfer Matt Kuchar, was placed in the second-team.
