Every Tommy Fleetwood Shot | 2025 Ryder Cup
Yeah, morning everybody. And what a morning it is. They asked for a drop here, but it’s not plugged. But it’s sitting right in here for Tommy. He’s got a great angle, but oh, he’s he’s very good at this type of shot, flu, but he needs to be cuz this boy is sitting right in the roots. This is tough to get to and stop. See, he had to dig it out of there. Looks good. Looks very good. Great shot from Fleetwood. to win the hole. Tommy Fleetwood. [Applause] Well, USA in close here. This is usually magnificent from this distance. Pulled it. It’s running past. Tommy Fleetwood trying to extricate them here. He’s done really well there. Well, Keith, from that stance, the ball’s up above you. That was a very difficult shot. Good live for Tommy. Not a great angle. All slightly above his feet. Slight grimace bit left. Oh, not much. Oh, big advantage for Europe there. They’re already two up. Maroy Fleetwood. Fleetwood out of the rough. A good angle to that left hole location. See, he can set up well left. Like he’s going to try and chop it out with a cut shot. Yeah, once again, it wasn’t a great lie, but a good result from a poor lie. That’s why he was set up left coming down more abruptly into the ball. So we go back to the par three with Tommy Fleetwood. He plays nine yards shorter than his distance. Massively downhill. Great line. Another fabulous shot. [Applause] Now Tommy Fleetwood. 149 for Tommy. Same prospect really. The ball slightly above his feet. He’s chipping an iron here. Yeah, it’s brilliant. Brilliant again from Europe. Just keeping the foot down. Fantastic. Made a lot of birdies today. Here’s Tommy Fleetwood. Long long putt up the hill here. Just be trying to knock it up close like that. Exactly like that. Wonderful play. Great distance control. Fleetwood after that perfect T- shot from Mroy right into the teeth of the wind. Spin control so important into that wind. That wasn’t a good strike. He’s trying to just drive it in quite low. One bounce. Stop it dead. To tie the hole they do at 11. Tommy Fleetwood, the FedEx Cup champ. And Mroy still four up. Tommy up the hill to win the hole. Maybe two putts might even do it, but It’s a super lag part. Super lag p. Just leave Ro a three-footer all to all over to America now to to save going even more down. Well, it could be over here. Maybe Fleetwood is down the green. It’s a lovely p sort of down the valley a bit. Turn right and left early then stream for Fleetwood for the birdie. [Applause] How did that miss? He was just about to celebrate. You could almost see that he was he was nearly in his squat position. 14th Tummy Dormy 149 front pin. Little punchy 9. I think that looked so good for Tommy when he was when that was in flight. It’s just went half a club long. Their hopes right on this for the US side because it has been a clinical performance so far from Tommy Fleetwood and Rory Maroy. Relentless from the offset. It is another massive margin for Europe and they’re 3 and 0 together. Fleetwood Mack go five and four. [Applause] Thank you, Tommy. Fleetwood. That would have looked good to 10 ft. It’s not exactly bad. Straight out the green. Over to the first again or to the first green I should say and Tommy Fleetwood for a birdie. Yep. That’ll do. Got a little read from Ben there. So a little help to Fleetwood. [Music] Is that the left as well? [Music] I think the the wind must be a bit stronger up there than what the guys are cuz a lot of these shots are moving quite a lot like right to left. Tommy Flintwood at the uh third par three from the sand. Not too bad. That was a great shot off that ups slope to Fleetwood at the par five fourth high cut in well left there. That’s fine. That’s absolutely fine. Par five there in two like Tommy Fleetwood for Eagle. It’s not to win the hole. So Dejambo still got a B after him. It’s not far away. Ooh, that was so close. Great effort from Tommy. [Music] Fleetwood to the fifth. Plenty of room around the pin. And a kind shunt forward. Nice second there from the Englishman. [Applause] Flickwood last to go here at eight. That’s tracking. That’s tracking from Tommy. [Applause] Very good. yet on the back section. [Applause] Yeah, be happy with that. Up to eight again, I should say. And this time it’s Fleetwood. This is to win the hole. Yeah, quick to pick up the Americans ball running out the way to concentrate his lap in place. Again, we’ve seen it a few times, haven’t we? Coming out of the fringe. Fringe. Yeah. Strangely long. It’s unusual. No mistake from Tommy Flickward, the FedEx Cup champion. Americans retain the advantage, but it’s one and not two. Front flag 193. Fleetwood ball just slightly above. So maybe just trying to hold this up a little bit. Try and feel like it’s a fade, but in reality it’s pretty straight. Eats it. Eight it. has been caught left. Yeah, there it is. He was a long way back there, Tommy. Off that ball above his feet. Difficult shot. Next one won’t be easy either. 210 Tommy Fleetwood second. Yeah, long path for this 10th hole. Five iron for Tommy. Pausing, holding that finish, eyeing it up and down. And that’s why. Great shot from Fleetwood. This is right edge. Hair down the hill. Two. Seriously good chances. They’re not turning much, Wally, are they? These greens. No, they’re uh they’re causing one or two problems. Sometimes when there’s not a lot of movement, you’re looking for too much. These two can catch fire though. Not happy. Oh, that’s not just straight through the bottom. Pace wrong. Apart from pace and line, it was very good that from Tommy. Just the gap witch for Fleetwood where he was sitting. Okay, in the left rough, but the angle is good for him. But this is prime real estate for the English to this front right flag. Trying to get this zip in maybe just past it. That’s one of the spinnier greens, 11 on this course. It’s unlucky there. You could you could hear him telling Finn he was going to take a little bit off it trying to just curtail the spin. There still a good chance for Barbie. Should definitely not be struggling to get to the hole just right to left and almost pushing to the right. It should give Justing a little bit of a And that match all of a sudden that’ll do us is back to all square tied. So America up in one, Europe up in two. That match tied. The pendulum swings once again as it does in the RDER Cup. Captain Donald over there. He liked that wiped a bit of red off the off the leaderboard. [Applause] [Music] Fleetwood 12. 230 for Tommy giving up about 15 to 20 playing long 12 today. Some great irons. That is a great bit of luck there by Tommy. Wow. [Music] Yeah, they’ve been threatening all day really. They’ve had some chances. [Applause] Not bad. Just didn’t quite hold it line, did it? Part of his game fleet, but it’s improved so much. The ball fly has dropped a little bit. It’s more direct. Doesn’t quite have so much spin, and that’s what’s needed here. This needs the spin. [Applause] The guts are just about the right amount. [Applause] Same deal for Fleetwood. Just keep the ball flight down, which he’s done. Well done. Well done. Oh, perfect from the start, didn’t it? And that means that Tommy Fleetwood, after that wonderful T-shot here, has a chance to win the hole, which he takes. And Europe go up in that second match. Big moment in the context of today I fear aggressive swing. Great for distance. That’s an excellent second from Tommy Flewood across the green. Quite a bit of uh swing on this one. Yeah, it’s quick on from about now it will move. [Applause] Fleetwood and his second into 16. nine iron trying to hit it into this camber at 16. It’s actually quite a good angle with a good light. That’s an excellent shot. Slightly off with the distance, but solid once again. And this time it’s Tommy Fleetwood for Birdie. Similar sort of thing to Griffin, but maybe just a little bit more under the heels. slightly less break and maybe possibly be slightly more aggressive with this. Still moving tons towards the end. He’s moving towards the bottom of the hole. What a P from Fleetwood. [Applause] That’s a great time to do it as well, isn’t it? [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Well, not spectacular, but safe. Opens the door just a little. Flew. This is a part to win the match, Anthony. Yeah, tough one at that. right to left up and over the brow down the hill. An extended version of what he’s just told at 16. Actually, not going to get there, is it? and some distance. [Music] Tommy after Rosie just piked it down the middle, not even watching it. Te’s in his pocket and he’s down the fairway. Well, that match still in the balance. So is the bottom match. up to 18. Fleetwood and backed off it once. So much noise around this green. Trying to pop this in low. Take some spin off it. It’s on top of the ridge. Oh, it’s a pear. Come for man. Exceptional from Fleetwood. Europe 52 ahead. The angle’s great. Look at that. You can see the whole green from there. A lot of people at home, including me, are thinking those crowds would have to be a lot further back. [Music] All right, one from Tommy. Send it right under the ball there. Lot of jew. Good shot from Colum, but gave the read here to uh Tommy. See if he takes advantage. And he does. Good job. Exceptional to win the hole. Fleetwood after the American miss. It is a European make and from down to up they go. Just like that. Tommy Fleetwood chipping up here. Trying to get a stone dead. Just a little bit fast. Beautiful. Do well to get inside there. Not need a pilot. [Music] The semi for Fleetwood [Applause] there. It’s not perfect. [Applause] Excellent recovery there from Fleetwood. for Fleetwood. Tommy Fleetwood, another one hits the bottom of the cup. The Americans going to get to 12 ft to stay two down. Great location for Fleetwood front left. His little draw shot in there. Half the club short but right on the line below the hole. Good spot. Wonderful hole location for Fleetwood. [Applause] Shot in close from Ora. response from Fleetwood now. Look for him to pitch this a little bit past the hole. Use some spin. Oh wow. Are you kidding me? That is just I mean unbelievable. We were just talking about hitting the flag 2 minutes ago. Wow. Ball just gets wrapped up and the flag drops down right next to the hole. My goodness. Now the pressure’s on the Americans to make it right to left for a half cuz that’s going to be given. I mean if you’re English in Morawa you think what do we need to do? Well he’ll be thinking keep the foot down birdie birdie back there you know running out of holes and every half is a win for these guys. I mean English and Moro if this goes in they must feel deflated. Never in doubt. Fleetwood [Music] [Applause] just Fairway Green’s birthday. Just amazing the level of play on both sides. Tommy Fleetwood and Rory Maroy are six under through 12 in foromes. Tommy for Birdie 14. Has he? Oh my goodness. [Applause] Tony just doing what they need to do. Fairways greens make the opponents do all the work. Yeah, lovely lovely shot. Tommy, that’s a bad free cut from Europe. Oh my goodness. Didn’t see that. But slender. What would you say? Um sliver of hope there. Maybe. Yes. To Fleetwood. Beautiful. So controlled those two. It’s just metronomic, isn’t it? The right shot at the right time. The block thickens. All right, back to 16. Fleetwood. The margin now. Two with three to play. Still in their favor. Oh, popped up there, didn’t it? They’re still in the match for Tommy Fleetwood, for Rory Mroy and for Europe. And they are unbeatable at Beth Paige. And it never looked in doubt. What a partnership this is turning into. Yeah. What a team. What a team. and Fleetwood, you know, he had the same kind of feeling with Bollywood when he played with Molinari. Look at those two. [Applause] [Music] Tommy Fleetwood. [Applause] A few booze for Tommy. He doesn’t often get booed on a golf course, does he? Three from three so far this week. That was perfect. [Applause] And what an atmosphere it is out here. Tommy Fleetwood from 90 with a back stop. So you have choices if you want to hit it past the hole and spin it back. [Applause] Fleetwood first apart for Birdie. uh uphill right to left. Has to start it well outside right didn’t move. Good putt. It’s all you can do. Fleetwood for birdie. Just a bit basic. You read it perfect just on that left edge. [Applause] Excellent long iron there from Fleetwood. Big chance for Eagle. [Applause] Well, the good news is it’s downhill. There’s not much break. Downhill putts. You don’t have to hit hard. Just get started on the line. Not to beat. So that match is all tied up once again courtesy of that sensational iron shot from Bryson the Shambo 162 plays eight uphill half a club a win tough front hole location have to get a lot of elevation which Tommy did solid shot in there by Tommy [Music] Fleetwood should have learned something from the rose putt. Definitely coming from the right at the end. Good part. Not to be though. It’s a very tight lie. Firm lie from 85. And it’s a down slope as well. Comes off very low. Probably has a lot of spin. Just the right amount. J if you’re European. [Applause] [Music] Well, will it be two against one on the seventh? It will. Sheffller in trouble. Remember Tommy ready to go from distance. Rose in there close. He’s just going to he’s going to try and make it but get it up there. Dead weight. Coming coming. He’ll hit it over on Rose’s line and give him a read. Look at the distance. [Music] That looks rather good. Stay up just for Tommy. Just getting it on the top. I think he has the best look of all. Rose’s putt has some left to right to it. Two chances for the Europeans to win this hole. And it’ll come down to Justin Rose. Managed to Fleetwood into nine. Ball above his feet. Seven eye for Tommy to this front pin. It’s looking good. It’s looking better than good. What a shot from Tommy Fleetwood. I I think the Greens are just playing games with the players at the moment. Now Tommy always sets up well for Tommy down the right. He’s just such a great driver of the ball. Look at that. Has not deviated an inch. That is your frozen road. That is frozen road. Just a range at Feno has said to Tommy. So just straight at it. Well, unbelievable there by Tommy and he listened to his caddy big fin. Just trying to get it in close at 11. [Applause] And Rose gave him a little talking too on what it did up going up around the hole, but he didn’t get it there. Left it short. And that’s well short. Oh yeah. Yeah, that was not great. [Applause] You have to be careful about getting overly aggressive and going there’s not much space beyond the hole and if you go over the green there, you’re chipping back down a down slope. I think the key here is just give it a little bit respect. play just short of the hole, but you want to get it on that top ledge. Give yourself a reasonably flat putt. [Music] [Applause] Goodness gracious me. He’s like a machine. Brilliant from Fleetwood. So, two chances. This is the first of them for the Europeans to go two up in the second match. They only need one. Fleetwood holds for Bernie. Justin kind of took care of the front nine. Tommy’s taking care of the back nine so far. Buries in 10 and 12. Team back to two. He’s going to carry the shoulder of a mound. This left green. didn’t have the greatest of lies. [Music] [Applause] Here’s Tommy Fleetwood over at 13 for Birdie. You fancy he or Rose will need to make one of them. Fleetwood finds another one. I don’t believe it. Everything it’s just going the Europeans’s way, isn’t it? Took forever. It felt like it took forever to get down there. Is it ever going to get there? Of course it does. What a great fight. Putting together one of the great riding cups in history. Hardly a par in sight. Fleetwood. He’s so good with these irons. Flighting it down a little bit. It’s hard to imagine him being outside of 12 ft. It is another blow for the Europeans. Another superb shot from Tommy Fleetwood right now. It feels like an away game for the US. [Applause] First bad swing. What’s the result? Not good. It’s all a little tense back there on the 16th team. Fleetwood. Beauty as usual from Tommy. Great drive. Oh, long as well. Scotty has a putt that well certainly is makeable. Just slide the club underneath it. He hit the back side of that collar and kicked it forward. That was unlucky. An inch further. It was right next to the hole. It’s going to be moving slowly right on the right edge. Should go right in the middle. This has been an incredible effort from these two. May as well finish it off with a par. Golden rule of match play. Take your first chance to win when it comes. It’s amazing atmosphere out here. The European fans will go nuts when this one goes in. Justin Rose stands tall and that is her point secured for the Europeans. They move to nine and a half points. And hardly believably, Scotty Sheffield, the world number one, has gone 0 and4 over the first two days here. [Applause] You are too. Let’s go. [Applause] We have never seen a European player go 5-0 on foreign soil. That is what is on the line. A line of history all to himself here today. He’s been magic this week. Tommy Fleetwood. [Applause] [Applause] Nice angle. Good pin just up on the top to land it up there. We saw with the first shot from the fairway from Justin Rose, it wasn’t much spin on it. So, this needs to be pretty precise. [Applause] That’s good, [Applause] Tommy. Second shot in the two. Just trying to control the spin. Fantastic. He looks dialed in already. His iron game has been incredible this week. His p’s not too bad either, Hunter. Well, there you go. Blue quickly on the board. Swing just never changes. This is another beauty. A traction left. Distance should be good. Well, maybe not. No, it’s okay. But it would have felt better to him. Fleetwood putting up. Little firm. A little firm. Rock solid. All weak. Tommy Fleetwood. Just a little bit of tidying up. Focus your full attention. Well done, Thomas. Half and three. Fleetwood remains one up. [Applause] Okay. Is not going to be good enough, especially when Tommy Fleetwood’s putting for Eagle to win the hole here at four. Not quite, but it has the birdie. Tommy, two putts to win the hole here at the seventh. Yeah, clever put, Tommy. Just get it down to the hole. Close to two up now. Right up to the eighth we go with Europe’s leading point scorer to hit here, Tommy Fleetwood. Great hole location here, front left for Tommy. There’s a little bit of a back stop be behind the hole as well, where you can take the water out of play. If you’re in between clubs, you’ve got a good number, go right at it. Nine downhill. That’s the only variable here in this hole on eight. Super shot. Another tower and iron shot over the over the flag there by Tommy. So we hone in on Tommy Fleetwood to go three up over Justin Thomas. It’s a slippery putt this one. Just a little bit left to right. [Music] He’s human. Tommy Fleetwood long range at the ninth. He’s no stranger to making putts on this green. Doesn’t make it, but that’s a good effort from that range. Excellent putt. No stress. Mr. Green at 10. Tommy Fleetwood off the UPS slope as ever Beth Paige. And a lot of ground to cover. Not an easy one. So approved. Maybe a little less loft required. Long range effort then for Fleetwood across the 10th. A nice bold try with JT and CL long range for Fleetwood at 11. He knows that Thomas is in there close. Hard putt to gauge the pace. The first third of this is uphill. [Applause] That’s pretty good. That is pretty good from where he was. Fleetwood to pop first for his birdie from a high point on the green. Putting downhill. [Applause] [Music] Oh, well judged putt from it’s kind of an awkward putt right there. [Applause] Over to 13 and the third shot for Tommy Fleetwood. It’s been quite some weight for this group watching the Rose shenanigans. Just time to take a chill and find some peace. Beautiful strike. Little short is going to stay. It’s all right. That’s all right. I’ll be putting first. [Applause] [Music] Was two up, now one down. Well done. As you said, there wasn’t much to it. Just got to hit it. Got to trust it. Great iron players in the world of golf. Just a chippy n iron. No more than that. Let’s go. Tough pin today there. Anything left short’s going to just spit back off to the fringe to 14 and Tommy Fleetwood for Birdie. Up a little ridge. Soft one, but it’s there about there. Oh, he’s an outside chance of his birdie two. Tom’s going to go first out of that thick rough pins on the right side. He loved to put this about 15 ft pin left or just Oh, great shot just right of the flag though. kind of bounced through in a thick rush. Baby, let’s go at 15. [Applause] Fleetwood 16. [Music] [Applause] Back into the wind up. Just come up a little bit shy. Tommy Fleetwood all the way up the 16th green. That’s wonderful judgment of place, isn’t it? From that distance. Really is. Flag is right edge of that big old 17 tower. This is leaking right. Leaking right. It’s going to stay. It is one of the best iron players in the world. Tommy Fleetwood to win the hole against Justin Thomas back at 17. Oh wow. That was a weak putt right there. And up to 18. And Tommy Flickwood. Big T shot. Imperative to get it on the fairway. Another match tied. One hole to go. [Music] He’s picking the tea up. Looks like it’s straight down the middle. A wonderful drive, Tommy Fleetwood. [Applause] That looks nice. Right on line just a little short. Tommy Fleetwood for Birdie at 18 to put the pressure on Justin Thomas. He stayed left. He thought it was left to right. No chance for Thomas to take the match.
