She is the world number one. She’s 43 under parath for her last two appearances at this event and hasn’t even won it yet. But here she is with her second to the first half. Gino Titiken. And what a way to start. Might have to be defensive. Soon. Yeah, right now she creeped down really shortly to make sure she’s not going to have a, you know, chunky shot. Think. Oo, such a great shot. That is incredible from that position. This time last year, Lydia Co for her birdie from the bunker to here would be an excellent three. Not a problem for the LPJ Hall of Famer Lydia Co. 100% agree with Ali. Second shot now for the South African Ash Buhai. This at the seventh. Tricky little par four. Pin all the way back. But wow, Ash has got the measure and the distance. Nearly perfect. Cracking shot. This isn’t though. This is a great chance for Ash Buhai. And it is a birdie there at seven. Third shot now before Lydia. Yellow stake just past it on the right. It’s a good line. Or you could just take it on again. Never a problem. Never end in doubt for the former world number one. One of the fun one to talk to. One of the fun ones to watch too. that Lydia Co has in her putting stroke. And this for a birdie to get to three under. I think she just wants to keep the putter head low as she can. That’s why she has a wider stance to make sure her um gravity is just going down instead of just being on the top of the head. It’s a good leg for a birdie. Hannah Green the winner last week looking for a birdie at seven and a winner there. She has played so well for her last round. Can see the back stop behind it better from this angle. The one that Lilia Vu used. Beautifully done. I want to say number seven is one of the toughest pin position, but Hun have a really great chance to make a birdie now. Yep, she made it. You’d be right though, Sean. We’ve got the second, third, and first hardest holes. Just the top end of the grip sticking out of her uh hands. Yep. K was right. Would it go anywhere else? Moves to within two of the lead early doors on Thursday. Lydia Co. Lovely start from the Kiwi. Perfect shot. Crowd loved it and for good reason. 12th green into it is a path four, but it’s an awkward flag tucked way left. Difficult to access. Fantastic try. That’s going to be a really polarizing uh whole location out there today. You see a lot of errors, possibly even more than makes. Well, the local favorite, Mirabel Ting, this is her second shot to the seventh and going along nicely. Mirabbel doesn’t let us be good opportunity. This is for birdie. we hear from Mirabel Ting. So, must have been a fantastic drive down seven and a good conversion, too. Only 20 years old. We’ll get confirmation there unless she really took on the drive. Lydia Cole Lady Lydia Co’s line was a bit downhill and she just uh shifted her paid off this season. Yeah. Going back to Japanese players. The same yardage here for Ronny. 15579. And this is all over it. Oo, fantastic view. Pinpoint precision from Ronnie. Need a running start from down there up the ridge as well. Oh, that was a very good attempt though from the Scott. She’ll take a four quite happily. Another putter that’s center shafted. I’m fascinated by the putters on tour and lots of players have a lot of putters. I just cannot. Off it goes. Second shot. Can’t really see much of the green from back where she is. The other two will have a better view. Let’s get a hedge in choy here at nine. Anything past it always fast. Also, if you look at the green, it looks so light. That means it’s really fast uh green and there was still no problem to make a birdie for Hen Choice. Room to burn as we see up ahead here for Lydia Co. just clung on to the ridge here for birdie at seven. needs to hold its line. 23 ft apart there for Lydia. You wonder how long she’s going to keep on playing for in her late 20s. Now 28. It’s a tricky bird for birdie puff for Grace. It’s going to turn a lot to the right. It’s really hard to get a right speed, but she made it. Nothing tricky about that birdie putt for Grace Kim. Absolutely brilliant from the winner last week and finds a birdie to move to one under today’s pin position in the second tier. It’s between the hill from the right and left. She used the heel and it’s going to go get closer to the pin. Oh, not quite yet. She literally aimed about like 3 mters higher than cup. Yeah. And you really need to on 14. This is a lovely stretch of holes certainly for the fans and it will get busy this weekend. This 14th hole there’s a great viewing deck behind and then the 15th hole is a quite a challenging par three. He was tough. At least it’s consistently flat. It goes for Lydia Ko just on the cutting surface here. 10 traveling and buried for Hedge Choi. The crowd love it. She’s the fan favorite and that is a lovely two to move to red numbers for the first time this week. This would be a great two-up for Gemma Driver. It was really amazing to put actually. Yeah, very nice. Awkward third for co here. It was tough bunker shot, but not for Lydia. No, not when you’re sixth. That clean scorecard, which she does through the front nine. She always looked quite happy in the course. She’s got 3.5 million reasons to be happy so far this season. And with shots like that, you can understand why. That’s how much she’s made already this year. Won’t find that in England. No grain. No grain there. Down the hill for Titan. She got both right. Sure does. Titan. Back to back bird. He’s starting to make a move. Tried to close in on the rescue who’s now seven under. and flying around the golf course the Italian choy balls a little bit below the p low to fit sorry that was an easy shot to do but that was very brave shot a very brave T-shot from Gemma Dryra on the par 416 all the way through the green in one but an opportunity right here this to get to six under back to within one. Nice three. That’s great. No drop shots as well, Alli for Gemma. What a setting, you know, and it’s a nice time of season for players to get together and see the world as well. Keeps them fresh. You know, you’d think the international travel sometimes would take it out of United to Hen Choy. Easy enough. I’m actually really surprised Hayden Choy hasn’t won any LPG win yet. Otherw putting starts of Lydia Cove this for a birdie. Oh, and Lydia makes her ascent up the leaderboard. Looking very good indeed. Was tied for 11th when she last played in this championship a couple of years ago. Yes. Got the Australian Open in Melbourne with Rory Maroy coming there. got the Australian PGA Championship as well. Benardeta Morescu, this is for Par and the first hiccup in the round for the Italian up ahead on the 11th and hence why they are waiting. Angel Yin has this puck from across the green right to left rolls it in beautifully doing what Angel has done so well throughout her career. Angel starting to make moves. Lydia Co. who has Korean parents that is from Australia. She’s going for her birdie part here at the 11th. I think we’d we’d love to take Lydia Co, but she is from New Zealand. Yes. Korean uh heritage. Yes. Yes. Uh but Soon, when you play golf now, you can’t get a tea time in Korea. Yeah. You wouldn’t guess she was Spanish, would you? By some of her answers. Austin Kim. Boom. Great work there at the par three. So young. Well, this to take the lead all by herself once more for Benedicta Moresco and he does say that Rio the most impressive player that he’s worked with. An all round super strong game. Don’t let Thomas Bjorn hear that. No, I was gonna say, oh, that was a such a great putt from Ling Grant. It’s quite a tempestuous character, I think. Thomas Bejorn, you’ve worked with him, Alli. Yep. She went for the peen right away. doing things the oldfashioned way. They’re in three for Gemma Dryra, one of our five leaders at the moment. She has another chance to make a birdie and close the birdie with um today. Well, what a presence Lydia Co is on the leaderboard, especially when she finds herself towards the very top. Vietnam maybe. Yeah, that’s a good country, too. Big moment here for Gemma Dryra to take the leader on her own, which she does. Brilliant. The 65 blemish free from the Scott who’s had success in Asia in years gone by. Mirabble team for her second shot on 14. It’s really tough pin location, but she’s really good at it. See if Euan’s the lucky charm. Not that she needs it. Four under on the date. I think she likes it. Yep, indeed. It’s going to get better and better as well off that slope right at the flag. Fantastic shot there from Angel Yin. Ting made a really good birdie chance on 14. Yep, another birdie. She’s four on the par now. Great second shot into that pin. It is. I said one of the toughest pin position, but she had no problem to make a birdie. She’s taking this course on. She opened the club face a lot to creating a lot of speed. Miss the green short right Lydia co that was bit of mistake to read a line correctly yeah really the big mistake from the second shot but it’s so easily done a lot of varying lies back on that fairway I want to say her um third shot is the taboo place to Oh, so she joins driver at seven under to go to five under for Yin. Yep. She never misses it. Did you try and make goals for the the remaining holes? No, I was always just focused on progress, you know, just what I what type of shot I want to do. Scared a close flag match. Last week’s champion, Henna Green. Yep. She joined to the tie for seven. I said no. Eventually. He’s a golf ball. All right. Green side at 14. Lydia Co. Settle down. And then other times you don’t feel great and shoot lights out. This is frustrating game for sure. Grace Keane for birdie. Yep. No problem to make it birdie. Beautiful roll from the Australian and she moves to two under. Her final iron into the ninth. Green started on 10 earlier this morning. Just tossing one up in the air hoping it’s going to get close. Oh, it does. What a super shot. Maybe she could make um another birdie to finish. Po co chip to here from right of the green. Yeah, that’s a good that’s a good four though. So back down. Yeah. Yep. She’s joining with the Jim and Moresco. Yeah. Another girl who needs to make a birdies. Maybe eagle. Yeah. You betcha. Chisato ey in for an eagle too at the AON back in June July. Roning Y in for her birdie. Whoa, that was great. Nothing’s better than finishing with the birdie. Oh, that’s still good result. She is co-leading of this tournament. Lydia Co. Yep. Easy chip shot. Like the way that she played that. It was almost a little toe down, like a little kind of bump and run with a wedge. I actually really like that kind of shot especially with the short range chipping because sometimes really hard to um lend it like one yard or like two yards because you have to have very small back swing here at May Bank Championship. The mascot if you will. We said they might be makeable from down there and sure was for Roning Yen. This is here lapping up the sights as well. So we see Hannah Green short of 18 here. Actually when I had the winning um group in front of us in front of me when I played especially with um very challenging T-shot now to 18 hedin in the bunker. Yeah, it’s going to be her third shot. And I think it’s fairly flat lie. Shouldn’t have any problem to make a spin, but she didn’t like it. But Resert is good. [Applause] I think I think she chunked it a little bit. Whoa, what a putt. Walking it in a Gary Lopez. And that will make dinner taste an awful lot better. Could well be the round of the day. Yep. Solo lead for May Bank Championship. That is a 64 setting the course of light highlighted by that eagle at the third. Should be set out there today. One drop shot came at 13. We have a lot of sand especially in the sand belt. You mashed up. A super wave to finish for the Japanese major champion. A round of 66 and to the world’s best as well for putting on such a show for us in the third edition. Little bit of a glancing blow there for Lydia Co coming up just shy, but that’s okay. Below the hole there. Yep. Beautifully done.

Nice Round jenno
Way to go Hye-Jin! Despite how difficult the loss last week was I said that she would finish strong this season, and here she is in sole first place. If she continues to play like she did today, it will likely end in a looong-overdue first win on the tour. 😄👍🫶🐧❣️
What a beautiful Golf course! Despite the heat, everyone had a solid first round and it should make for an exciting round 2 & into the weekend. 👍⛳️
Is So Yeon Ryu saying pin position or pin magician 🤔😊😂 I think magician sounds better👍

These highlights: "Eagle at the 3rd? No idea what you're talking about, bro."
