I raced here when Fred Fllynstone was still going. You know, he was had his feet going. He could slam on the brakes. I ran some cup races here. A race that stands out to me was 96. We sat on the pole. We had it going on. I had wrecked Harry Gant because he was holding me up after I had a flat tire at Nashville and I moved him and he accidentally spun out. So Harry decided to pay me back right here. Right here where we’re talking right there. He said the throttle hung, but I think he was like it was a payback. But all the respect in the world for this racetrack.

Mike go back and watch Nasville. Hilarious how drivers misremember things. Mike passed Harry after a restart to get his lap back. Two laps later Mike was holding Gant up. Gant blew by him Mike tried the crossover got loose, lost it and took Gant out of what would have been an easy win at Nashville. Mike was right about Wilkesboro. Gant totally wiped him out, but it was well deserved 😂
