Cameron Young is one of the longest driver’s on the PGA Tour, but even HE knows that being smart often outweighs being aggressive.

While on the driving range with the one-time Tour winner, Young told us why he avoids gripping it and ripping it on short par-4s, with the discipline often helping him score lower on those holes.

How tough is it for you to pull back if you see like a short par4 or something you know you can hit? Do you like have to tell yourself beforehand like don’t go with that shot even though I have Yeah, there’s definitely times. I mean, like drivable par4s in particular, I’ve found that a lot of them I feel like I can reach like the middle of the green, and that actually ends up being bad a lot of the time because the green’s, you know, 15 yards wide or thing.
