Round two of the Jakarta International Championship. Lots of birdie opportunities, particularly early on on this golf course. It’s a par 70, 35 out, 35 back, 7,124 yds. The Green Greens reading 107 on the st meter. So let’s get you up to date when Kevin Akbar the Indonesian shot a second consecutive 68 with the help of this birdie at the 14th. He’s in for the bar. He should certainly make the cutai. Two birdies and a bogei to this point but a satisfying finish to his round. He’ll complete 36 holes at seven under par. Miguel Carbalio just missing wildly this par three green. But with this chip he’ll move to four under par for the round and three back of the lead at that point but made a triple bogey on its final hold. But the good news is it’s safely into the weekend at five under. Well, we talked about how you got to get up to a quick start. Tap pitch certainly did that. Birdie his first four halls on route to an outward half of 30. collected another year with this birdie putt just tipping in the side door at the par 312. But the man who finished second on the aid and development tour order of merit at the end of 2024 was not done yet. He picked up a birdie there at 14 added two more at 16 and 17 to post a sparkling round of 62. Gaganji Bullard three under for his round. This will move him up to nine under par for the event. would add one more birdie at the very demanding next hole. The par4 six will match the output of the first and second round 1000 bar total. Ah, Pav Dank present four birdies in a row on his front nine. He would then add a fifth here at the 11th after that lovely approach. A solid figure of Yakual South Africa. Lovely putt for birdie. [Music] Yes. Yes. Looks like this hole is playing much slim to yesterday where it is straight downwind. Brilliant t-shot there by Sudipot. Second shot for Jazz into the second, [Music] beautifully played. This is a lengthy look for Dantai Bunma to get his round off to a flying start at the opening hole. It’s tracking nicely and it’s in. How about that? Dante Bunma quickly getting to two under par. I want to say it’s probably a ball outside right edge. It’s one of those putts you can just sort of feed into the right side of the cup just like that. The last time we had an Asian Tour event here at the Pik course, this man won. Steve Luton dramatic playoff with Aaron Wilin and Samson Zang last year to ground him to pick up the Indonesia Open crown. See, he still has fond memories of this place. That’s a nice birdie for Louie. Lovely shot there from the type is the big man from Centurion in South Africa. Miss the tiny little birdie putt on the seventh. This is Jed Morgan who’s still stuck in neutral today. Eight paths to this point. Finally, a birdie comes at the difficult ninth for the Aussie. Steve for three in a row. Get this butt be just outside right edge. Confidently old for Louie. Starting to look like the man who won the Indo Open here last year. But this one from looks like the first kind of rough at the seventh one. Oh, golf. It is a funny game, isn’t it? Not meant to be. He’ll take it. Oh, isn’t it astonishing? Five, six, two. We’ve seen one hole out from the left hand side of the seventh. Could possibly see two, could we? You’re joking. Oh, of course we can. Now Chang from off the edge of the green at 11. Okay, make some ends for the three putt at nine. Karaman from Bangladesh looking for his second birdie of the round. [Music] Schneider Jones to get to two under. [Music] Yeah, it could be an important part. Still some golf to be played obviously. Indonesia’s Naraji Ramadan Putra not having the best of tournaments. Five of par on his round or on the tournament even par for today’s round. That’ll bring a smile to his face. [Music] Now J Pyth [Music] great speed on that putt just catching the high side of the hole. It’s a treacherous looking second shot here at the ninth. Beauty Steve Luton left of the cart path off the tea at night. Should he will have an unobstructed swing. Don’t think that tree is in the way. He’s got to look out left here. Oh, that is an outstanding shot from out of position. Well, said he needed to run the tables if he wanted to entertain any hope of sticking around on the weekend. Ramadan Putra second now to the 14th. He’s just birdied. 11 12 13 Wade Ormsby for his first birdie of the day. Moves a lot from left to right. He’s read that. Well, it just tickles in. His patience has been rewarded. Ormsby finally opens his account for the day. A decent side to be chipping from. Be an uphill chip for the second half of this shot. And all these Schneider Jans would certainly be looking to make at least one more birdie. Oh, there’s one of them. [Music] Lovely. Two at the 12th for the American. So he moves to three under now to the other par. Three in the back n and Irvin Chang for a birdie. This could be useful. Oh, nicely hold there. Irvin too under for his day. Just to the fringes of the top 10. Steve Luton in good rhythm in his round. Moves to five under par for the day. This shot should set up quite nicely for Swanerat. Loves to move the ball from left to right and he’s got no choice but to go at it. Give himself 30 chances. Slider J took a double bogey six. He’s back at one under. Told you he liked the look of that shot. Excellent from Sit. A second shot for Australian Brett Ranken. Two under par on his round today. Final hole of the day for Mexican Roberto Leerria. He’s just doubled the eight. This is a birdie putt at nine. Oh, great way to finish the man who could very easily be Fernando Alonzo’s doppelganger. [Music] Walking that one in. There’s Leu on 18. Get him up to four under par. Five under par, excuse me. He’s done the hard work making a backto-back birdie sedanar. Excellent T-shot 15th but slippery one for three in a row. This is a parut for Chang at the closing hole. [Music] go. It’s asking for it to go and go it does. Sometimes that ball listens. Great way to end around a 68. Leaves him nicely placed at the halfway stage. Really left himself a lot of work to do after going bogey double on five and six. This has been some display of heart from the tie. Another one goes [Applause] Scott Hen for birdie at 16. Nicely old. Yes indeed, Scott. Yes indeed. [Music] So, as the sun goes down in Jakarta, there’s how the leaderboard looks. That hasn’t changed since lunchtime today. Pav Tankam Prasad still leading at 11 under. Gagenjet Bullah just one behind and Tanapad Pichun a 62. Best of the tournament so far is in third.
