“Number one priority is going to be keeping a card.
“I’ve played quite a lot of DP World Tour events over the last couple of years, so in terms of comfort levels and being used to things out there, I should be ready to hit the ground running.
“Keeping a card is priority number one and if we can do that as early as possible then we can start looking forward and rearranging our goals.”
Young has watched the likes of Calum Hill, Connor Syme and Grant Forrest all seal victories on the DP World Tour during the last 10 months – and that is a milestone he would also like to reach.
“Obviously you want to try and get a win out there at some point – that’s the goal every week a golfer tees it up,” he said.
“It’s about being realistic but giving ourselves attainable goals.
“It’s just that old cliche of being 1% better every year and I feel like I’ve been putting the right foundations in place for a couple of years now, so I’m slowly but surely getting there.”
