Tai chi is unique in its origin by mixing meditation and martial art in one practice!
The double-edged, straight sword is famous among martial arts enthusiasts yet difficult to find and even rarer to learn.
This video for the Chinese sword (Jian 剑,) teaches the last sequence of moves for the 37 posture tai chi sword form.
This section continues to work the basic skills while teaching some advanced techniques and strategies for the sword. It also continues to challenge balance, breathing, as well!
Swordplay is unending in movement and building coordination and other skills!
Even if you have a short stick to use as a sword, this form is fun and relaxing to step through.
Training tai chi and/ or weapons like the sword helps with balance and fluidity of movement and pushes the practitioner to develop higher skill with breath control and mental focus!
