golfers. Huge news in the equipment world. Tailor Made’s brand new driver lineup has officially been elite, which means the likes of Rory, the likes of Scotty, the biggest names in the world will be gaming this very soon. Now, the new Tailor-Made lineup is t called Tailor Made QI4D. And this has just appeared and I have it in front of me on the USGA conforming list, which means in simple terms, it is legal for tournament play. But what exactly is it? What does 4D stand for? And could this be the driver that takes the QI model to the next level? Let’s break it down exactly what I know so far and what you can expect from this lineup. What’s super interesting is in 2025, Tailor-Made QI35 got voted the best club of the year, which I didn’t think it was actually worthy of. So, if this means business, we could be in for a right treat. So, here’s where it all starts. Tailor Made have three driver heads that have appeared on the USGAA’s conforming list. That doesn’t mean there is only three. There could be more, but these are the three that have appeared on the list. You have the Qi4D core, which we can assume is the driver that sits right slapbang in the middle of the range. You have the Qi40 LS, which is their lower spinning model. Tends to be for higher swing speed players, and majority of tour players have been in and out of that head, too. You also have the Qi4D Max, which 10,000 MOI, you can only imagine that the whole story is being continued. their most forgiving model. Now, this is way earlier than normal for Tailor Made. And the timing suggests a lot. When something shows up months ahead of schedule, it almost means one thing. The tour players are about to put it in play. It means they like it. Which is significant in a year and a driver where Rory was in and out of it. had his old driver shipped back to a tournament, didn’t want to play the new driver, went to QI10. Big talk that was in the mid part of this season. And Tailor Made have confirmed this exact thing following ongoing tested. This is what Tailor Made said. Our athletes have expressed a strong desire to play these products. So yeah, you can expect the likes of Rory and Scotty to have this in their bag much sooner rather than later. So, what does QI4D stand for? Well, if you remember, QI stands for Quest for Inertia. Tailormaid’s biggest mission for forgiveness and stability on the absolute limit. The Qi35 range dropped early 2025, and it was well, for some people, a massive hit, especially the Qi35 Max, which broke that magical 10,000 MOI barrier. and basically one of the most forgiving drivers tailor made and we have ever seen on the market. You also saw the likes of Ping and Callaway follow the same desire. Now the QI4D looks like the next evolution of this quest. 4D part. Tailor made won’t actually say anything on this yet, but if you follow like the naming logic of this, a new fourdimensional waiting system or structural update inside the head. Maybe like do you know I think I’m going to say it was Cobra did this in the S. It almost had like a chassis a racing car chassis inside like 4D structure. Maybe it’s something to do with that. I can only assume they’re going to stay down this route of forgiveness rather than distance. I I think it would be a very strange direction for them to go if they went away from that. So, is it a total head design change or is it just like refinements? I’m looking at these images here and we’ll share these with you. I’m going to say like refinements as opposed to total like change to this. So, the core offering, the tailor made Qi4D. This will likely remain the main tour model, one that Rory, Scotty, and Tommy Fleetwood maybe might play. It seems it have two front weights, and you can see this here. And that sort of speed pocket here on the back. And what what I would say here is it’s going to be slightly smaller, lower spinning head design for ultimate control. And what I think is really interesting is a lot of the feedback, I think even I said this when I first reviewed the Qi35 model was that it looked so close to the Max. I’m hoping that this is slightly smaller. I’m guessing that’s what tour feedback, general consumer feedback was. And I I hope it is a slightly different version. If you remember, Tailor May brought a tour model out, the Dot. I think this will be closer to what that is. Then you have the Qi4DLS. And if you look at this here, you have a front and rear weighting system. Suggest it’s available in 8, 9, and 10 1/2°. And traditionally, this has been a lower spinning model. There is just one main weight instead of two now, which limits the adjustability, but I guess they might say it might improve accuracy. This model has been used by like places like Colin Morocawa in the past and the Qi35. So, I can only suggest that that might be something that he would put back in here. You can see the weight port, the speed pocket, and sort of like slightly different fin model. I’m I’m really interested to see what color this actually is. I wonder if they’ll stick to these grays. Wonder if they’ll put a bit of gloss back into them. I don’t know. It’s It’s very very interesting. And finally, if I bring up the Qi4D Max in 9, 10 12, and 12 degree, you can see these weight ports. What’s what’s super interesting is you’ve got almost a separate section at the back to this. So now, this is the one that they’re going to say is their maximum forgiveness. The Qi35 was already one of the most stable drivers they have ever produced. So, I’d question how you can make that even better. Right now, it’s suggesting it’s only available in right hand. that won’t be the case come January. But I’m looking at it here going, I don’t see much difference. Maybe there like fins on the bottom are slightly different, slightly different accents. How can you make what is already like on the limit even more forgiving? That that that’s that that’s what I’m questioning. So, what’s next? Now, here’s something really interesting. You have no QI 4D fairway woods that have produced anything on the list just as of yet. So, this suggests that tour players won’t be putting them in play soon. It also suggests that the testing maybe hasn’t gone as well as what the driver has done. But, Tailor-Made will keep their cards extremely close to their chest. There’s no official comments on the tech, the materials, what 4D means, but we will know this very, very soon. And in early 2026, they will be out. And on that point, if you do want to keep up to date with all the latest equipment news, equipment leaks, and testing, honestly, I’ll leave a link to my other channel right here. Be sure to go and check that out. So, the question is, what do you think? Will we see these sooner rather than later? I guarantee we’ll see some of the top players use these before Christmas. 1. I like the side weighting options similar to their r7 mini, good bit of tunability for fade/draw bias. Pretty sleek looking as well, hopefully they have gotten their epoxy and face adhesion issue sorted out.
