[Applause] It’s actually Anthony Bonda in for the Dodgers to face the pinch hitter. Barger lays off ball one. Here’s what Barger wants to do knowing who’s on deck. Fly ball and even a strikeout is not the worst thing in the row. You just don’t want to hit a ground ball double play. And he knows that he’s going to try to lift the ball and keep it off the ground so he can at least guarantee Guerrero up. Fouls off that high fast ball. Down to Tom Verduchi. Dodgers, as you know, Joe, the top swing and miss team in the National League this year. This inning alone, 15 pitches thrown with two strikes, no swings and misses. All runners reach space. Barger ahead twoon one. The bullpen depth lacking for the Dodgers. And they go to Sheen, who hadn’t pitched since the division series. Gave up a run in all three games that he pitched in in the division series. Comes in here, struggles. sends a towering drive right center field. Can’t say goodbye. Addison Barger has connected on a grand slam to break open game one and start this place shaky. Well, he hit a fly ball and he guaranteed his teammate was going to come up. And I didn’t see a situation where his teammate might come up with nobody on that grand slam. Wow. I mean, this is a high breaking ball and he we talk about him. You want to see a hard swing? That was a hard swing. guy that he pinched for. And if you’re unfamiliar with the Blue Jays, just learning about him today, just watch this sixth inning. Watch the bottom of the order set the table. Watch guys come off of the bench and delivery. Watch pesky two strike hitting and then watch power hitting. It’s all rolled in together. It is the Blue Jays who put nine runs on a Dodger staff that gave up four in the entire championship series. They’ve batted around into shadow center field. Here comes Pahz. That’s down.

  1. I haven't heard a peep of US/Canadian hostility during this World Series. I believe that we will work out our differences and things will get back to normal.

  2. As a kid growing up in Montreal, you were expected to be a Dodgers fan because the Royals of the old International league were the Dodgers farm club. I though was a Yankees fan, just to be perverse. How happy am I now to see the Blue Jays in the World Series again!

  3. LOL, then they get shut down by Yamamoto! Maybe the Jays shouldnt have celebrated this game like they won the whole series!
