And they’re at they’re at Beth Page. So you’re at Beth Page and you’ve got this guy who sat in a recording booth for a few hours hurling abuse at you that’s getting piped in. Luke Donald’s done a VR preparation session for Beth Page. And this chap was telling me all about it. And essentially what they wanted to do is create the most realistic environment to prepare the European team for the inevitable heckling and abuse that’s going to come from from some lively New York fans. And you can have your own opinions on that. Um, but he they’re all about leaving no stone unturned, aren’t they? So, I heard about this other guys who gone in for a session, got on their VR headsets and were I I wanted to know a bit more. So, I found out and apparently literally what happened, they went out, this company was tasked to do it. went out into and basically found the guy with the thickest, strongest Long Island accent in the world and just offered him some money for the day to come in and record some of the most personal insults about, you know, their family, their appearance, their kids, what’s going to happen with that shot, you suck. Like just spend a day abuse in the world. Yeah. So, he’s got to do this like 12 times for each player tailored to their weak points and like and just just really try and push pull push the buttons and the lads are then clearly I think there’s going to be a documentary comes out on the preparation. It’s going to be fascinating going to be in it and they’re just going to be stood there with their headset on getting abused to within an inch of their life to just to kind of get them in the mindset of of how to deal with that I guess to desensitize for when it inevitably happen. And they’re at they’re at Beth Page. So, you’re at Beth Page and you’ve got this guy who sat in a recording booth for a few hours hurling abuse at you. That’s getting piped in to this VR experience. Picture this. Close your eyes. You’re in the VR. Picture you’re at Beth Page. Oh, a bit nervous. Hey Dan, you suck. Oh, now that man’s being mean. That’s not very nice. You can’t even say nothing. You say nothing. Hey Dan, you always say the word broadly. Hey, it’s going personal now. Sorry. So, yeah. So you’re you’re you’re there getting all of that abuse and probably worse that we’re not going to say on this podcast. Correct. Um so yeah, a fascinating that Luke Donald and the team go to that extent and feels feels a bit much for me but No, no, I disagree. I disagree completely. I think it’s excellent preparation.
