The win in the semi final against Germany felt just as good, maybe slight better.
I watched that final in the GDR on a tv in black and white…a friend of mine married that day a girl from the GDR and took her to Holland..i drove around and came at a Russian Army Base..everything looked run down…who knew one year later the Berlin Wall came down..
The Soviet Union team was super strong too. Ballon Dโor Belanov was incredible.
