OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – The Belmont women’s golf team finished in sixth place at The Robbie held this weekend at RTJ Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.

Belmont shot a final round 302 to finish the event in sixth at 902.  Georgia won the team title at 861, with Lipscomb in second at 870.

Two Bruins finished among the top-20 this weekend.  Graduate student Chloe Tarkany carded a final round 73 to finish in fourth place at 216, six shots back of the medalist, Maria Garcia of Georgia (210).  It was her second top-five and third top-15 finish of the season. 

Sophomore Sloane Biddle posted a final round 74 to finish in a tie for 14th place at 223.  The Midstate native earned top-15 finishes in all five events this fall, including two runner-up showings. 

Other Belmont finishers from the weekend include: junior Paige Hammarstrom (T-29, 227), freshman Lauren Davis (T-40, 236), sophomore Sophie Skoog (42nd, 237).

Sophomore Emilee Swagger, competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 57th at 251.

This event concludes the fall season for the Bruins.  They had three top-six finishes, including a team championship.  They will begin the spring season on March 2-3 at the Huntsville Intercollegiate in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
