President Trump spent much of his Saturday playing golf in Scotland.
The President of the United States has several iconic golf courses around the United States and the rest of the world. He decided to visit one of them this weekend. The 79-year-old Trump and his son, Eric Trump, played golf at Trump Turnberry in Scotland. The Trump family has serious ties to Scotland, especially on the President of the United States’ mom’s side.

While many protestors turned out to the round, the President of the United States and his son seemed to enjoy their round out on the course.

Unfortunately, while President Trump loved his round in Scotland, he made an embarrassing mistake while referring to the course, according to CBS News.
He spelled the name of the city he was playing golf in wrong.
The president has long lobbied for Turnberry to host the British Open, which it has not done since he took over ownership.
In a social media post Saturday, Mr. Trump quoted the retired golfer Gary Player as saying Turnberry was among the “Top Five Greatest Golf Courses” he had played in as a professional. The president, in the post, misspelled the city where his golf course is located.
Oops.
Like Trump, though, others in golf have advocated for one of President Trump’s courses to get the British Open.

“I look at it as a golf course,” Bryson DeChambeau said last weekend. “It’s one of the best golf courses in the world, and I’d love for it to be a part of the rotation.
“Albeit I haven’t played it, I’ve heard so many great things about it, and any time you get to play a special historical golf course like that, I think it’s worthy of it, for sure.”
The Open Championship hasn’t hosted its tournament at Trump Turnberry since the President of the United States took ownership.
