In 2006, I came here with the future wide open in front of me. Now I standing here before you, married to my amazing wife, my four beautiful children, and this amazing honor to end up my on the- field football career. We had many ups and downs with my 11 years here, but I always think back fondly of my time here with the New York Jets. I along with my family will always be Jets fans for life. Now lastly, and this one is for you. Cheers to the fans. You guys have been with me, supported me, supported this team. Thank you to all of you, every single one of you. Thank you very much. God bless you all. And go Jets.

  1. It still feels unreal every time I hear someone say he passed. My favorite player growing up. Always a bright spot. I always got excited seeing him be around the team after his playing days and always hoped he would find a permanent role within the team. Ive never felt this emotional to losing someone I never knew. My thoughts to his wife and children

  2. Panthers fan here. Even though Ryan Kalil was our center, he was drafted a year after Nick Mangold. While it may not be a flashy first round pick, Nick Mangold really made me understand just how important the center position in the NFL really is.

    Rest In Peace, Nick. ✈️

  3. Nobody cares what team you like… ….. fan here so what a man and father died show your respect keep it pushing smfh

  4. Giants fan, always great battles with him against our d-line. As classy as it gets, he'll be missed sorely.

  5. Nick Mangold was a real treasure, not because he was a professional athlete, because of his genuine heart. I was lucky enough to meet him 17 years ago. He was a class act from start to finish. RIP Nick. All my prayers for your wife and kids.

  6. Sad man. Dude was such a good player & human. That bud light looks like a little baby can in his massive paws, lol
