The Enmore Royals travelled away to Taunton and Pickeridge to play their final match of the season. With all eyes on the weather, there was much discussion as to whether the match should go ahead.
However, with just a drizzle in the air, the T&P Captain and Enmore’s captain of the day, Colin Galbraith, made an executive decision to go ahead. Everyone set off with optimism, hoping to get around and escape the worst of the weather, but sadly, with just a couple of holes played, everyone soon realised that wasn’t going to be the case. Despite this, however, the captains ploughed on and completed the round on the 15th.
However, as they walked back to the clubhouse, they soon realised that most of the games had been abandoned long before, so it was agreed that the match was a draw and the weather was the winner. Many thanks go to all Enmore Royals players who braved the weather and supported the club.
