Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, has received a shock invite to compete in her first LPGA tournament next month.

Kai, 18, will make her LPGA debut at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at The Pelican in Florida from 13-16 November. 

She received an invite into the tournament by the LPGA and Pelican Golf Club. 

Kai’s LPGA debut appearance will take place before she heads off to college at the University of Miami.

The Annika marks the penultimate event of the LPGA’s Race to CME Globe season.

Kai’s invite will provide an added boost to the tournament as it looks to continue to help grow the sport.

As of this month, Kai Trump’s YouTube channel has 1.3 million subscribers and her TikTok account carries a whopping 3.4 million followers.

On top of that, Kai’s Instagram channel has 2.5 million followers and her X / Twitter account has 906.8K followers.

Not only will The Annika feature the world’s best female golfers, but it will also comprise one of golf’s biggest talents and social media influencers.

“What’s up guys, I’m thrilled to announce that I will be making my LPGA Tour debut in November at The Annika driven by Gainbridge. 

“The Annika is at The Pelican Golf Club. 

“It has been a dream of mine to compete at the professional level and I’d like to thank the Pelican Golf Club for the invitation. 

“I’m looking forward to teeing it up and competing with the best players in the world at one of the most premier venues on Tour.

“I will see you guys November 10th through the 16th at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. 

“I’ll see you guys there.”

Kai added in a statement: “My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour.

“This event will be an incredible experience, and I look forward to meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors.”

The Annika is hosted by golf legend Annika Sorenstam who won 72 times on the LPGA – which ranks the Swede third in the all-time list.

Sorenstam, who is close friends with US President Donald Trump, has taken to X / Twitter to reveal her delight at Kai playing in her tournament.

“So excited to have you part of our event,” wrote Sorenstam in response to Kai’s video post. 

Kai is a senior at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach County.

Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods, 16, also represents Benjamin School – and he last month helped them win another golf title. 

Kai’s mother is Vanessa Trump, who is now dating Tiger Woods.

Kai has committed to play for the Miami Hurricanes next year.

She currently ranks 461st in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) girls standings. 

Kai has played in three AJGA events in 2025.

She finished 29th at the Dustin Johnson World Junior Championship in February.

Kai then improved with a 24th finish at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.

She then finished 26th in her most recent tournament at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior.

Kai last month attended the 2025 Ryder Cup with her grandfather and United States President Donald Trump. 

They attended the Friday fourballs. 

Kai even filmed the trip to Bethpage on her YouTube channel.

LPGA executive Ricki Lasky claims Kai’s invite into The Annika highlights the Tour’s goal of promoting new talent. 

“Kai’s broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans,” said Lasky.

The Annika will also feature WNBA star Caitlin Clark in the pro-am for a second consecutive year.
