My first year of golfing in the fall and I haven’t lost this many golf balls in open areas all year! I didn’t realize this would be such a problem. Even if I watch my tee shot and see the area my ball lands in, I often get up there and have trouble finding it. Whether it’s buried in leaves or not, it feels like I’m looking for a needle in a haystack! It’s not EVERY shot this is happening. But a few times per round which adds up! 😂
How do I find my balls better??

Use bright pink balls. Wear thermals.
Did you recently get married? This has happened to a lot of my friends.
Not for me! The rough is always the same for me. Hahahahaha
Try losing the gut? I know that’s my problem
I lost four balls from playable shots on Hole 1 today. Barely in the woods, rough, rough, behind the green rough.
It got better as the round went on, but that was pretty demoralizing.
I’ve played Titleist Velocity matte orange balls all year because they’re easier for me to track in the air and to find in the grass. Not so much now that it’s fall.
I was swimming!
Yes.
-dog after getting neutered
The leaf rule is in effect.
It’s cold
Ask your wife where they are lol
The down side to autumn golf. I zipped 2 drives straight down the fairway last week and lost them both😡😡
Played Bowling Green in NJ today and had to drop so many balls on fairways that I hit but just couldn’t find because the course has trees along every fairway and they were covered lol. Had an amazing 5 iron tee shot dead middle fairway but still couldn’t find it.
I found mine in the wife’s purse.
My balls used to be hard to find as well. They still are but they used to be too.
Significant shrinkage!
Get a mini Ryobi blower. You’re welcome.
Fall golf, or just hits different. Par 5 yesterday. Hit it in right rough, knew the area it landed, saw it bounce. Couldn’t find it , dropped one. Hit 3 wood on the green at the pin, i even looked in the hole when i got to the green, looked for a good 5 minutes. I saw it rolling on the green, couldn’t find it. Dropped about 5 yards off the green, figured it might have ran through. Chipped to 5ft, made birdie. Still not sure how to feel about the entire experience but totally entertained
Play cheap balls. You can lose a Pro V1 in the middle of the fairway on a sunny day.
I can hit a dinged up Kirkland into a haunted forest and will find it within 90 seconds of looking for it.
Check your wife’s purse
Beacuse of the colder weather?

Lost 5 today that were somewhere in the fairway…
I’d rather play in the rain than in the leaves.
Need bigger balls
The lower Sun angle makes it hard too. My tip is to to get the Sun at your back when you’re trying to find your ball. If that means walking way past it and then looking back then that’s what you have to do.
Try bigger balls😝🤪
Check the wife’s purse.
When it’s cold out, me too
Try playing with blue ones.
I spent a few weeks training a rat on the scent of this spray they smell but we can’t. Put some on the ball before playing now. I attach an air tag to my rat bud. Then drop him off in the general area of the ball. (He his a taller rat so he can move quickly. ) – just follow the rat wearing a shiny pink jacket and he goes right to my ball. I give him a piece of an uncrustable and back into the bag he goes. Yes just into a clear pouch where my rat chills and watches me golf till I need him to find one.
It’s even worse if one is color blind. I can’t play red, orange, or green balls because I can’t see them on the grass. Have to stick with white or bright yellow.

Just bring a leaf blower and make everyone wait for you to find the ball. No one shall play through.
You’ll have to dig deeper.😆
Me too, but it’s mostly due to my growing dad bod.
Can’t believe we don’t yet have balls with chips for a ‘find my ball’ app
No answer bud. I lost 5 last week from this same thing. Saw where they landed and everything. None of us could find them. Sucks
Is this the summit golf club back 9 hole?
Fall is free drop season.
